Explicating wh-fronting in Mandarin: A scrambling approach [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
This paper proposes an alternative approach to wh-fronting in Mandarin by analyzing it as a type of regional scrambling. Three main arguments are presented, including the semantic vacuousness of Mandarin wh-fronting, its mixed syntactic properties, and ...

Intelligent Sky Guardians (InSkyGuard): An Aerial Robotic Swarm for Autonomous Detection and Entrapment of Rogue Multirotors

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Intelligent Sky Guardians (InSkyGuard) is introduced as a four‐drone swarm that autonomously detects, tracks, and safely captures rogue drones using a coordinated net system. Computer vision and leader–follower control architecture enable synchronized enclosure, while integrated failsafes enhance system reliability. Validated through closed‐environment

Boosting Ferroelectricity: 2D and Polymer Ferroelectric Hybrids Enabling Ambipolar Nonvolatile MoS2 Memory Transistor

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Two‐dimensional CuInP2S6 nanosheets are incorporated into a P(VDF‐TrFE) matrix to induce polarization‐cooperative ferroelectric coupling. The resulting P(VDF‐TrFE)/CuInP2S6 hybrid film exhibits reinforced ferroelectric ordering and reduced coercive electric fields compared with pristine P(VDF‐TrFE).

Experimentally testing the interpretation of multiple sluicing and multiple questions in Hungarian [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
Hungarian multiple sluicing has been claimed to only be allowed in contexts that set up a pair-list, but not a single-pair reading. This has been taken as evidence that multiple sluicing is derived from multiple wh-fronting questions, which only license ...
