Novel Chromogens for Immunohistochemistry in Spatial Biology

open access: yesCells
Spatial relations between tumor cells and host-infiltrating cells are increasingly important in both basic science and clinical research. In this study, we have tested the feasibility of using standard methods of immunohistochemistry (IHC) in a multiplex

Simultaneous multiple target detection in real-time loop-mediated isothermal amplification

open access: yesBioTechniques, 2012
Loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) is a rapid and reliable sequence-specific isothermal nucleic acid amplification technique. To date, all reported real-time detection methods for LAMP have been restricted to single targets, limiting the ...

ALD‐Assisted VO2 for Memristor Application

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates a strategy for depositing VOx using thermal atomic layer deposition (ALD) followed by thermal annealing to synthesize VO2. The thin film and core/shell wire memristors exhibit excellent switching performance and are highly sensitive to ambient temperature.

Amplification‐Free, Sequencing‐Free, Detection of Viral RNAs with Variant Specification by Discrete Nanocounting

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Integrating selective RNA shortcut, targeted gene isolation, and micro‐arrayed nanoimaging, the NanoPick‐array platform excels in detecting severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2) at just 60 copies µL−1 and accurately differentiating variants at the single‐nucleotide level. It ensures 100% accuracy for samples with cycle threshold (

Linear and Nonlinear Frequency-Division Multiplexing [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
Two signal multiplexing schemes for optical fiber communication are considered: Wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) and nonlinear frequency-division multiplexing (NFDM), based on the nonlinear Fourier transform (NFT). Achievable information rates (AIRs) of NFDM and WDM are compared in a network scenario with an ideal lossless model of the optical ...
