All optical digital multiplexer using nonlinear photonic crystal ring resonators [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Optoelectronical Nanostructures, 2022
An all optical multiplexer will be implemented. Two nonlinear ring resonators with different switchingthresholds will be utilized for creating the proposedmultiplexer. The proposed structure will have two inputand one output port.

Multiplexing MIM [PDF]

open access: yesDevelopmental Cell, 2010
Signaling circuits often coordinate cellular membranes and actin filaments at distinct sites to direct cell behavior. In this issue of Developmental Cell, Bershteyn et al. outline how the molecular scaffold protein, MIM, which bends membranes and binds actin filaments, is at the middle of one such circuit to regulate ciliogenesis.

A Silicon-Based On-Chip 64-Channel Hybrid Wavelength- and Mode-Division (de)Multiplexer

open access: yesPhotonics, 2023
An on-chip 64-channel hybrid (de)multiplexer for wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) and mode-division multiplexing (MDM) is designed and demonstrated on a 220 nm SOI platform for the demands of large capacity optical interconnections.

Weighted Multiplex Networks [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
One of the most important challenges in network science is to quantify the information encoded in complex network structures. Disentangling randomness from organizational principles is even more demanding when networks have a multiplex nature. Multiplex networks are multilayer systems of $N$ nodes that can be linked in multiple interacting and co ...

Free Space Optical Polarization De-multiplexing and Multiplexing by means of Conical Refraction [PDF]

open access: yesOptics Letters, Vol. 37, Issue 20, pp. 4197-4199 (2012), 2013
Polarization de-multiplexing and multiplexing by means of conical refraction is proposed to increase the channel capacity for free space optical communication applications. The proposed technique is based on the forward-backward optical transform occurring when a light beam propagates consecutively along the optic axes of two identical biaxial crystals

Multiplex recurrence networks [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 2018
We have introduced a novel multiplex recurrence network (MRN) approach by combining recurrence networks with the multiplex network approach in order to investigate multivariate time series. The potential use of this approach is demonstrated on coupled map lattices and a typical example from palaeobotany research.

Quaternary Reversible Circuit Optimization for Scalable Multiplexer and Demultiplexer

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
Information loss is generally related to power consumption. Therefore, reducing information loss is an interesting challenge in designing digital systems.

Supersymmetric multiplex networks described by coupled Bose and Fermi statistics [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. E 91, 012810 (2015), 2014
Until now, no simple symmetries have been detected in complex networks. Here we show that, in growing multiplex networks the symmetries of multilayer structures can be exploited by their dynamical rules, forming supersymmetric multiplex networks described by coupled Bose-Einstein and Fermi-Dirac quantum statistics.

Growing Multiplex Networks [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2013
We propose a modeling framework for growing multiplexes where a node can belong to different networks. We define new measures for multiplexes and we identify a number of relevant ingredients for modeling their evolution such as the coupling between the different layers and the arrival time distribution of nodes.
