UiO‐66 metal–organic frameworks in biomedicine: From structural tunability to bioimaging, photodiagnostics, and photodynamic cancer therapy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UiO‐66(Zr) metal–organic frameworks are chemically stable, biocompatible, and highly tunable nanomaterials. Their modular structure enables controlled drug delivery, multimodal bioimaging, and light‐activated photodynamic therapy, supporting integrated diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) applications in cancer and biomedical research.

Compendium of Plant-Specific CRISPR Vectors and Their Technical Advantages

open access: yesLife, 2021
CRISPR/Cas mediated genome editing is a revolutionary approach for manipulating the plant genome. However, the success of this technology is highly dependent on selection of a specific vector and the other components.

SPG4 and Dementia: Expanding the Clinical Spectrum

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Hereditary spastic paraplegia (HSP) is a group of disorders characterized by progressive spasticity and lower limb weakness, with mutations in SPG4/SPAST being the most common cause. Detailed studies and clinical and molecular comparisons across different populations are missing.

Semantic Multiplexing

open access: yesCoRR
Mobile devices increasingly require the parallel execution of several computing tasks offloaded at the wireless edge. Existing communication systems only support parallel transmissions at the bit level, which fundamentally limits the number of tasks that can be concurrently processed. To address this bottleneck, this paper introduces the new concept of

RNA Sequencing Resolves Cryptic Pathogenic Variants in Mitochondrial Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Mitochondrial diseases are the most common inherited metabolic disorders, characterized by pronounced clinical and genetic heterogeneity that complicates molecular diagnosis. Although DNA‐based sequencing approaches have become standard in genetic testing, up to half of patients remain without a definitive diagnosis.

OTDM add-drop multiplexer based on time-frequency signal processing

open access: yes, 2006
A time-division add-drop multiplexer capable of high-extinction-ratio operation is presented both theoretically and experimentally. The approach used is based on time-to-frequency domain conversion of optical signals and relies upon the switching of ...

XOR Multiplexing Technique for Nanocomputers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
In emerging nanotechnologies, due to the manufacturing process, a significant percentage of components may be faulty. In order to make systems based on unreliable nano-scale components reliable, it is necessary to design fault-tolerant architectures ...

Multiplex Sampling

open access: yesThe Annals of Mathematical Statistics, 1963
The problem of estimating desired characteristics of a response $X$, where $X = h(y)$ and $y$ is a vector random variable with statistically independent components from known distributions, may be handled by standard Monte Carlo techniques. We are interested in the generalization where several distributions are of interest, one at a time, for each ...
