On the multiplicative complexity of the Discrete Fourier Transform
AbstractMost results in multiplicative complexity assume that the functions to be computed are in the field of constants extended by indeterminates, that is, the variables satisfy no algebraic relation. In this paper we extend some of the known results to the case that some of the variables do satisfy some algebraic relations.

A Fractional-Order Telegraph Diffusion Model for Restoring Texture Images with Multiplicative Noise
Multiplicative noise removal from texture images poses a significant challenge. Different from the diffusion equation-based filter, we consider the telegraph diffusion equation-based model, which can effectively preserve fine structures and edges for ...

Efficient Algorithm for Finding Roots of Error-Locator Polynomials
A novel method for finding roots of polynomials over finite fields has been proposed. This method is based on the cyclotomic discrete Fourier transform algorithm. The improvement is achieved by using the normalized cyclic convolutions, which have a small

Fourier and Zak transforms of multiplicative characters
In this paper we derive formulas for the N-point discrete Fourier transform and the R1 x R2 finite Zak transform of multiplicative characters on Z/N, where N is an odd integer, and R1 and R2 are co-prime factors of N. In one special case this permits computation of the discrete Fourier transform and the finite Zak transform of the Jacobi symbol, the ...

In this paper, we propose a total fractional-order variation model for multiplicative noise removal and contrast enhancement of real SAR images. Inspired by the high dynamic intensity range of SAR images, the full content of the SAR images is preserved ...

PERIODIC TWISTS OF $\operatorname{GL}_{3}$-AUTOMORPHIC FORMS
We prove that sums of length about $q^{3/2}$ of Hecke eigenvalues of automorphic forms on $\operatorname{SL}_{3}(\mathbf{Z})$ do not correlate with $q$-periodic functions with bounded Fourier transform.

Channel estimation with Zadoff–Chu sequences in the presence of phase errors
Due to their perfect periodic autocorrelation property, Zadoff–Chu sequences are often used as stimulus signals in the measurement of radio channel responses. In this letter, the cross‐correlation of a linear shift‐invariant system's response to a Zadoff–

Preprocessing Strategies for Sparse Infrared Spectroscopy: A Case Study on Cartilage Diagnostics
The aim of the study was to optimize preprocessing of sparse infrared spectral data. The sparse data were obtained by reducing broadband Fourier transform infrared attenuated total reflectance spectra of bovine and human cartilage, as well as of ...
