The prevailing aim and flavour of this thesis, is to establish a link between Lyons' theory of Rough Paths and more conventional notions of non commutative harmonic analysis. Three different directions represent the lines of investigation.

Plasmonic Enhancement of Fluorescence and Protein Dynamics in Living Mammalian Cells
This study demonstrates plasmonic enhancement of the function of fluorescent voltage sensing proteins (genetically encoded voltage indicators, (GEVIs), QuasAr6) in live mammalian cells. Coupling to plasmonic nanoparticles does not just increase fluorescence, but influences the protein photocycle, creating a hybrid sensor with its response speed to ...

Atomistic Mechanisms Triggered by Joule Heating Effects in Metallic Cu‐Bi Nanowires for Spintronics
Bi doped metallic Cu nanowires are promising for spintronics thanks to the stabilization of a giant spin Hall effect. However, heat resulting from current injection forces Bi to leave solution, forcing segregation into monoatomic decorations which evolve into coherent crystalline aggregates.

Drawing inspiration from the layered hard‐soft architecture found in sea sponges, this work establishes a new framework for architected cementitious composites (ACC) through multi‐material additive manufacturing (MMAM) process. The integration of mortar and elastomer phases into layered architectures enables synergistic toughening mechanisms, including

We report a multifunctional tapered optical fiber integrating a conformal micro‐resistance temperature detector (µRTD) for local, real‐time thermometry during optical stimulation. The platform combines light‐delivery and temperature sensing within a minimally invasive footprint, enabling detection of sub‐degree cortical heating under representative ...

We demonstrate a neuromorphic synapse in 2D Fe3GaTe2 flakes. The device operates via a current‐driven transformation from a skyrmion‐lattice to a stripe‐domain state, yielding a linear anomalous Hall resistance response with a tunable slope to enable multiply‐accumulate operations. Simulations confirm its viability in artificial neural networks.

Euler’s integral, multiple cosine function and zeta values
AbstractIn 1769, Euler proved the following result:∫0π2log(sinθ)𝑑θ=-π2log2.\int_{0}^{\frac{\pi}{2}}\log(\sin\theta)\,d\theta=-\frac{\pi}{2}\log 2.In this paper, as a generalization, we evaluate the definite integrals∫0xθr-2log(cosθ2)𝑑θ\int_{0}^{x}\theta^{r-2}\log\biggl{(}\cos\frac{\theta}{2}\biggr{)}\,d\thetaforr=2,3,4,…r=2,3,4,\dots . All‐Optical Reconfigurable Physical Unclonable Function for Sustainable Security
An all‐optical reconfigurable physical unclonable function (PUF) is demonstrated using plasmonic coupling–induced sintering of optically trapped gold nanoparticles, where Brownian motion serves as a robust entropy source. The resulting optical PUF exhibits high encoding density, strong resistance to modeling attacks, and practical authentication ...
