Birth order and multiple sclerosis
Acta Neurologica Scandinavica, 1982No significant difference in birth order and risk of multiple sclerosis (MS) was found in a large-scale investigation employing 2 different study methods: case-control and comparison of birth order with expected distribution. This finding is at variance with conflicting results of 2 recently published investigations.

Multiple sclerosis and birth order
Acta Neurologica Scandinavica, 1988The relation between birth order and risk of multiple sclerosis (MS) was studied among MS patients in Israel. The evaluation was both by case-control study and comparison of expected and observed birth order in Israel-born patients. Results showed an excess of first-born and a low birth order among MS patients.
