Impact of Packaging and Recycling Systems on Material Recirculation: A Stage‐Decomposition Model
A system‐level view emerges from decomposing recycling into four stages (participation, collection, sorting and process yield), diagnosing constraints and targeting interventions. Cumulative equivalent uses (CEUs) quantify long‐term retention, revealing marginal improvements at high baselines generate disproportionately larger gains than low‐baseline ...

ABSTRACT This work proposes a new framework for stabilizing uncertain linear systems and for determining robust periodic invariant sets and their associated control laws for constrained uncertain linear systems. Necessary and sufficient conditions for stabilizability by periodic controllers are stated and proven using finite step Lyapunov functions for

A generalization of multiple Wright-convex functions via randomization
The author considers a general class of nonnegative real functions, which are generalizations of \(n\)-Wright-convex functions introduced by \textit{A. Gilányi} and \textit{Zs. Páles} [Math. Inequal. Appl. 11, No. 2, 271--282 (2008; Zbl 1141.26304)], and studied also by \textit{Gy. Maksa} and \textit{Zs. Páles} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 359, No.

Distributed Optimization of Finite Condition Number for Laplacian Matrix in Multi‐Agent Systems
ABSTRACT This paper addresses the distributed optimization of the finite condition number of the Laplacian matrix in multi‐agent systems. The finite condition number, defined as the ratio of the largest to the second smallest eigenvalue of the Laplacian matrix, plays an important role in determining the convergence rate and performance of consensus ...

Multiplicative Background Risk [PDF]
Although there has been much attention in recent years on the effects of additive background risks, the same is not true for its multiplicative counterpart.

The role of identification in data‐driven policy iteration: A system theoretic study
Abstract The goal of this article is to study fundamental mechanisms behind so‐called indirect and direct data‐driven control for unknown systems. Specifically, we consider policy iteration applied to the linear quadratic regulator problem. Two iterative procedures, where data collected from the system are repeatedly used to compute new estimates of ...

Ligations of staple strands by ligase at 64 nick sites on DNA origami can be quantitatively mapped. While ligations preferentially occur at the trapezoid edges rather than at inner sites, excellent agreement between the experimental ligation yields and docking simulations suggests that this is a result of variations in the ligase docking probability ...

Convergence of the Gutt Star Product
In this work we consider the Gutt star product viewed as an associative deformation of the symmetric algebra S^\bullet(g) over a Lie algebra g and discuss its continuity properties: we establish a locally convex topology on S^\bullet(g) such that the ...

Multiplicatively Trigonometric Convex Functions for Hermite–Hadamard-Type Inequalities
A novel category of convex functions, termed multiplicatively trigonometric convex functions, are introduced in this paper. We explore their algebraic characteristics and establish connections between such functions and other forms of convex functions. We even show that these functions are symmetric with respect to their components.

On Integral Inequalities for Product and Quotient of Two Multiplicatively Convex Functions
In this paper, we derived integral inequalities of Hermite-Hadamard type in the setting of multiplicative calculus for multiplicatively convex and convex functions. We also derived integral inequalities of Hermite-Hadamard type for product and quotient of multiplicatively convex and convex functions in multiplicative calculus.
