Multiple symptoms, multiple systems [PDF]

open access: yesFrontline Gastroenterology, 2018
A consequence of being a specialty with several organs is that gastroenterologists see patients who report a range of symptoms. And while we may subspecialise in one area or another, a lot of what comes through our door is a reflection of the high prevalence of gastrointestinal and hepatological symptoms, test abnormalities and diseases.

Multiple dermatomyofibromas [PDF]

open access: yesAnais Brasileiros de Dermatologia, 2018
This study describes a case of a 19-year-old patient with seven asymptomatic lesions on the chest, measuring between 0.5 to 1cm in diameter, with no history of trauma in the region. The immunohistochemical evaluation was positive for vimentin and smooth muscle actin, determining Dermatomyofibroma as definitive diagnosis.

REDUCTION OF EMPLOYMENT OF FORMULA WORKING BY USING LOCAL FILL-ERS AND WASTE OF PRODUCTION

open access: yesВестник Дагестанского государственного технического университета: Технические науки, 2019
Objectives. The purpose of this study is to study the increase in turnover of formwork and reduce the complexity of formwork for monolithic foam concrete by regulating its properties through the optimal use of local aggregates of the Republic of ...

Role of Multi-Parton Interactions on $J/\psi$ production in $p+p$ collisions at LHC Energies

open access: yes, 2018
The production mechanism of quarkonia states in hadronic collisions is still to be understood by the scientific community. In high-multiplicity $p+p$ collisions, Underlying Event (UE) observables are of major interest. The Multi-Parton Interactions (MPI)

FoxO1 signaling in B cell malignancies and its therapeutic targeting

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
FoxO1 has context‐specific tumor suppressor or oncogenic character in myeloid and B cell malignancies. This includes tumor‐promoting properties such as stemness maintenance and DNA damage tolerance in acute leukemias, or regulation of cell proliferation and survival, or migration in mature B cell malignancies.

Discovering and Uncovering

open access: yesGrounded Theory Review: An International Journal, 2022
Dissociative identity disorder is not new. Yet, there exists a paucity of emic research on the topic due to its covert nature. In this research, the disorder is presented and understood from the perspective of the person who must live with it on a daily ...

Existence and exact multiplicity of positive periodic solutions to forced non-autonomous Duffing type differential equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2021
The paper studies the existence, exact multiplicity, and a structure of the set of positive solutions to the periodic problem $$ u''=p(t)u+q(t,u)u+f(t);\quad u(0)=u(\omega),\ u'(0)=u'(\omega), $$ where $p,f\in L([0,\omega])$ and $q\colon[0,\omega ...

Insights into PI3K/AKT signaling in B cell development and chronic lymphocytic leukemia

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This Review explores how the phosphoinositide 3‐kinase and protein kinase B pathway shapes B cell development and drives chronic lymphocytic leukemia, a common blood cancer. It examines how signaling levels affect disease progression, addresses treatment challenges, and introduces novel experimental strategies to improve therapies and patient outcomes.
