The Philosophical Explanation of the Doctrine of Personal Unity of Existence; A Comparative Study of Dawwani and Sadr-al Motalihin [PDF]

open access: yesحکمت معاصر, 2015
The root and source of the unity of existence is mysticism, and it has been entered into philosophy from this realm. Perhaps the first philosophical explanation of the mystics’ unity of existence doctrine has been done by Dawwani.

Multiple dermatomyofibromas [PDF]

open access: yesAnais Brasileiros de Dermatologia, 2018
This study describes a case of a 19-year-old patient with seven asymptomatic lesions on the chest, measuring between 0.5 to 1cm in diameter, with no history of trauma in the region. The immunohistochemical evaluation was positive for vimentin and smooth muscle actin, determining Dermatomyofibroma as definitive diagnosis.

occumb: An R package for site occupancy modeling of eDNA metabarcoding data

open access: yesPopulation Ecology, EarlyView.
This study introduces a new R package, occumb, for the convenient application of site occupancy modeling using environmental DNA (eDNA) metabarcoding data. We outline a data analysis workflow, including data setup, model fitting, model assessment, and comparison of potential study settings based on model predictions, all of which can be performed using

Reconfiguring Urban Sustainability Transitions, Analysing Multiplicity

open access: yes, 2017
Cities, and the networked infrastructures that sustain urban life, are seen as crucial sites for creating more sustainable futures. Yet, although there are many plans, the realisation of sustainable urban infrastructures on the ground is uneven.

Dendritic cells steering antigen and leukocyte traffic in lymph nodes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Dendritic cells are key players in the activation of T cells and their commitment to effector function. In this In a Nutshell Review, we will discuss how dendritic cells guide the trafficking of antigen and leukocytes in the lymph node, thus influencing T‐cell activation processes. Dendritic cells (DCs) play a central role in initiating and shaping the

Global continuum and multiple positive solutions to a p-Laplacian boundary-value problem

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2012
A p-Laplacian boundary-value problem with positive nonlinearity is considered. The existence of a continuum of positive solutions emanating from $(lambda,u)=(0,0)$ is shown, and it can be extended to $lambda=infty$.

Nature and the international: towards a materialist understanding of societal multiplicity

open access: yesMultiplicity, 2019
The global environmental crisis requires a grasp of how human society interacts with nature, but also, simultaneously, how the world is divided into multiple societies.

Multiple symptoms, multiple systems [PDF]

open access: yesFrontline Gastroenterology, 2018
A consequence of being a specialty with several organs is that gastroenterologists see patients who report a range of symptoms. And while we may subspecialise in one area or another, a lot of what comes through our door is a reflection of the high prevalence of gastrointestinal and hepatological symptoms, test abnormalities and diseases.
