Automated Alignment Powered by Computer Vision Streamlines the Two‐Photon Polymerization‐Based Micro 3D Printing of Multiscale and Multimaterial Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, Volume 2, Issue 5, October 2026.
Two‐photon polymerization enables high‐resolution microfabrication, but performing alignment when printing multiple structures is difficult. Here, we present a fast, robust, and open‐source protocol for automated alignment on Nanoscribe systems. Achieving ≈0.4 μm accuracy in under 5 s, our protocol reduces time and error in multimaterial printing. This

Continuous Sewing Machine‐Like Suture Provides Higher Failure and Yield Load Compared to Traditional Techniques for Meniscal Root Repair in a Biomechanical Porcine Model

open access: yesArthroscopy, Volume 42, Issue 10, Page 2211-2219, October 2026.
Purpose To evaluate the biomechanical performance of the sewing machine‐like suture (SMS) technique against three established techniques (two cinch‐loop (TCL), modified Mason‐Allen (MMA), and double Mason‐Allen (DMA)) for transtibial pull‐out repair of posterior medial meniscal root tear (PMMRT) in a porcine model.

Engineering Tin Foam Electrodes for High‐Rate CO2 Reduction: A Pathway to Sustainable Formic Acid Production

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 19, 1 October 2026.
Highly porous Sn foam electrodes prepared by dynamic hydrogen bubble template exhibit high selectivity for CO2 reduction to formic acid. No decline of catalytic activity or selectivity, or morphological modifications were observed after long‐term electrolysis operating at high current densities.

Design of a Laccase Bioelectrode Using Multipoint Covalent Immobilization: Behavior Under Different Stress Conditions and Long‐Term Storage

open access: yesElectroanalysis, Volume 38, Issue 10, October 2026.
Multipoint covalent immobilization of laccase on a modified carbon paper electrode. Robust biointerface with operational stability under chemical, thermal, mechanical, electrical, and storage stress conditions. The practical implementation of enzyme bioelectrodes is limited by the inherent lability of proteins, which require mild conditions to maintain

Skeletal Muscle–Derived Extracellular Vesicles During Eccentric and Concentric Exercise Promote Muscle Regeneration After Injury

open access: yesJournal of Cachexia, Sarcopenia and Muscle, Volume 17, Issue 5, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Skeletal muscle injuries significantly impair mobility and function, yet effective therapeutic interventions remain limited. Both eccentric exercise (EE) and concentric exercise (CE) promote muscle repair, but the underlying mechanisms are not fully understood.

Multipoint linkage disequilibrium mapping using multilocus allele frequency data

open access: yes, 2005
This paper describes a likelihood based fine scale linkage disequilibrium mapping method for estimating the position of a disease predisposing gene relative to a battery of typed marker loci. The method uses multilocus allele frequency data from a sample

Bio‐guided fractionation of (9Z )‐5,8,11‐trihydroxyoctadec‐9‐enoic acid from Abelmoschus sagittifolius root as a potent α‐glucosidase inhibitor: An integrated in vitro and in silico study

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, Volume 106, Issue 13, Page 7735-7746, October 2026.
Abstract BACKGROUND Abelmoschus sagittifolius stands out as a valuable medicinal source for developing functional food targeting type 2 diabetes. This study investigated the α‐glucosidase inhibitory potential of an active fraction obtained from A. sagittifolius roots (ASR), enriched in (9Z)‐5,8,11‐trihydroxyoctadec‐9‐enoic acid (OA), using both enzyme ...
