Multipoint Fractional Iterative Methods with (2α + 1)th-Order of Convergence for Solving Nonlinear Problems [PDF]

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
In the recent literature, some fractional one-point Newton-type methods have been proposed in order to find roots of nonlinear equations using fractional derivatives.

A New Class of Iterative Processes for Solving Nonlinear Systems by Using One Divided Differences Operator [PDF]

open access: yesMathematics, 2019
In this manuscript, a new family of Jacobian-free iterative methods for solving nonlinear systems is presented. The fourth-order convergence for all the elements of the class is established, proving, in addition, that one element of this family has order

A uniparametric family of three-step eighth-order multipoint iterative methods for simple roots

open access: yesApplied Mathematics Letters, 2011
A one-parameter family of three-step eighth-order multipoint iterative methods is proposed. The methods require three evaluations of the function and one evaluation of the first derivative. Convergence analysis is given, and numerical experiments show favourable comparison with existing methods.

Parametric Family of Root-Finding Iterative Methods: Fractals of the Basins of Attraction

open access: yesFractal and Fractional, 2022
Research interest in iterative multipoint schemes to solve nonlinear problems has increased recently because of the drawbacks of point-to-point methods, which need high-order derivatives to increase the order of convergence.

Local Convergence of an Efficient Multipoint Iterative Method in Banach Space [PDF]

open access: yesAlgorithms, 2020
We discuss the local convergence of a derivative-free eighth order method in a Banach space setting. The present study provides the radius of convergence and bounds on errors under the hypothesis based on the first Fréchet-derivative only. The approaches of using Taylor expansions, containing higher order derivatives, do not provide such estimates ...

On the Convergence of a New Family of Multi-Point Ehrlich-Type Iterative Methods for Polynomial Zeros

open access: yesMathematics, 2021
In this paper, we construct and study a new family of multi-point Ehrlich-type iterative methods for approximating all the zeros of a uni-variate polynomial simultaneously.

Boundary shape function method for nonlinear BVP, automatically satisfying prescribed multipoint boundary conditions

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems, 2020
It is difficult to exactly and automatically satisfy nonseparable multipoint boundary conditions by numerical methods. With this in mind, we develop a novel algorithm to find solution for a second-order nonlinear boundary value problem (BVP), which ...

Numerical Analysis of Glauert Inflow Formula for Single-Rotor Helicopter in Steady-Level Flight below Stall-Flutter Limit

open access: yesAerospace, 2023
This article addresses the numerical computation problem of induced inflow ratio based on the helicopter momentum theory in forward flight. The Glauert inflow formula (equation) is a nonlinear equation usually solved by the Newton–Raphson method in a ...
