This work focused on arowana fishes (Teleostei, Osteoglossiformes) as a model; their widespread intercontinental distribution and basal phylogenetic position within Teleostei make them a compelling model for evolutionary research, especially in the realm of satDNA molecular evolution. Through the integration of genomic and chromosomal data, we analyzed

The Ecosocial World of Education: Perception and Interaction in Multispecies Society
The recognition of human-caused environmental crises has increased the need to think and act in a way that bridges the ecosocial realities of humans and the rest of nature.

Our analysis revealed that while climate strongly influenced species distributions, habitat change drove most observed delays in distribution responses. In terms of community ecology, dispersed communities exhibited shorter time lags than concentrated groups. Analyses of lag duration revealed a 5–6‐year distribution lag effect in high‐altitude ungulate

Host Phylogeny and Feeding Habit Jointly Govern Mammalian Gut Microbiota Composition
Herbivores showed higher alpha diversity than carnivores/omnivores, while omnivores had the highest beta diversity. Host phylogeny influenced gut microbiota more strongly in herbivores/omnivores, with phylogenetic distance correlating to microbiota dissimilarity.

ANALYZING TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC INTERRELATIONSHIPS IN HAWAII'S LONGLINE FISHERY [PDF]
This paper provides an analysis of technical and economic interrelationships among species harvested in Hawaii's pelagic longline fishery. The results indicate that this multispecies fishery is characterized by a joint production process, meaning that ...

CISO: Species distribution modelling Conditioned on Incomplete Species Observations
Abstract Species distribution models (SDMs) are widely used to predict species' geographic distributions, serving as critical tools for ecological research and conservation planning. Typically, SDMs relate species occurrences to environmental variables representing abiotic factors, such as temperature, precipitation, and soil properties.

Abstract This narrative review summarizes the collective knowledge on periodontal microbiology, through a historical timeline that highlights the European contribution in the global field. The etiological concepts on periodontal disease culminate to the ecological plaque hypothesis and its dysbiosis‐centered interpretation.

At the Biocultural Borderland: The Unfolding of Multispecies Encounters in Latin American Bioart
The purpose of this article is to analyse two instances of bioart, namely, Allan Jeffs’ installation Ex+sistencia and Luciana Paoletti’s photographs Retratos, from the post-humanist perspective of multispecies encounters.
