Phylogenomics and systematics of African Sesuvium (Aizoaceae)
Abstract Sesuvium (Sesuvioideae‐Aizoaceae) comprises leaf succulent annual and perennial herbs distributed in coastal or saline sites of subtropical and tropical regions. Some species of the genus tolerate highly salinized or polluted soils and show soil‐improving properties.

Abstract Wildfires generate partially combusted biomass that mobilizes to aquatic ecosystems as dissolved pyrogenic organic matter (dPyOM) in runoff, where it can impact surface water quality. However, the influence of dPyOM on aquatic microbiome composition, functional gene distribution, and biogeochemical processes remains poorly understood, with ...

eDNA signals improve local predictions of fish abundances in Mediterranean coastal ecosystems
This study demonstrates that integrating eDNA metabarcoding data into species distribution models can improve fish abundance predictions, especially for site‐attached and reef‐associated species. This approach provides a scalable and cost‐effective tool for monitoring, impact assessment, spatial planning and adaptive management of marine resources ...

Phages that infect the oak pathogens Brenneria goodwinii and Gibbsiella quercinecans were isolated. The phages were able to effectively reduce bacterial populations of their respective hosts in vitro. However, when applied in planta, the phages did not reduce host populations and instead phages and bacteria co‐existed over time.
