Large-aperture linear diffractive axicons are optical devices providing achromatic nondiffracting beams with an extended depth of focus when illuminated by white light sources. Annular apertures introduce chromatic foci separation, making chromatic imaging possible despite important radiometric losses.

Deep multispectral image registration network
Computerized Medical Imaging and Graphics, 2021Multispectral imaging (MSI) of the ocular fundus provides a sequence of narrow-band images to show the different depths in the retina and choroid. One challenge in analyzing MSI images comes from the image-to-image spatial misalignment, which occurs because the acquisition time of eye MSI images is commonly longer than the natural time scale of the eye'

The shortcomings of the conventional three-channel imaging are rooted in metamerism problems. To avoid these problems multispectral imaging is introduced as an complementary approach. This imaging technology uses the complete spectral information of the original image, and, hence, avoids the problems due to metamerism.

Multispectral image compression
Proceedings. Fourteenth International Conference on Pattern Recognition (Cat. No.98EX170), 2002Image compression has been one of the mainstream research topics in image processing. The research usually focuses on compressing images that are visible to humans. Images are usually gray-level images or RGB color images. Advances in technology enable one to make the detailed processing of spectral color features in the images.
