DOP12 Non-invasive assessment of intestinal inflammatory activity in Ulcerative Colitis by Multispectral Optoacoustic Tomography (MSOT) [PDF]
Abstract Background In order to guide therapy in Ulcerative Colitis (UC), repeated determination of intestinal inflammatory activity is essential. Endoscopy is the standard procedure to assess inflammation in UC.

Multispectral Optoacoustic Tomography (MSOT) resolves oxy- (HbO2) and deoxy-hemoglobin (Hb) to perform vascular imaging. MSOT suffers from gradual signal attenuation with depth due to light-tissue interactions: an effect that hinders the precise manual ...

Cold Quad-Modal Nanocomplex for Precise and Quantitative In Vivo Stem Cell Tracking. [PDF]
Multimodal albumin–bismuth sulfide–superparamagnetic iron oxide (ABS) nanocomplexes are developed for stem cell tracking across four different imaging modalities: MRI, MPI, MSOT, and CT. Combining its flexibility with high sensitivity, this quad‐modal imaging agent enables a robust quantification of ABS‐labeled stem cells in vivo.

In-vivo handheld optoacoustic tomography of the human thyroid
We interrogated the application and imaging features obtained by non-invasive and handheld optoacoustic imaging of the thyroid in-vivo. Optoacoustics can offer complementary contrast to ultrasound, by resolving optical absorption-based and offering ...
