Multistability near the boundary of noise-induced synchronization in ensembles of uncoupled chaotic systems [PDF]
The aim of this work is to study the possibility of the existence of multistability near the boundary of noise-induced synchronization in chaotic continuous and discrete systems.

Perceptual multistability is well-known and mostly visually demonstrated: Common examples are Necker's cube or Rubin's face-vase that produce qualitatively different percepts continuously oscillating between the solutions despite physically stable ...

Multistable Processes and Localizability [PDF]
We use characteristic functions to construct alpha(x)-multistable measures and integrals, where the measures behave locally like alpha-stable measures, but with the stability index alpha(x) varying with time x. This enables us to construct alpha(x)-multistable processes on R, that is processes whose scaling limit at time x is an alpha(x)-stable process.

A Methodological Framework to Study Change in Team Cognition Under the Dynamical Hypothesis
Abstract The dynamical hypothesis claims that cognitive systems, such as teams, are dynamical systems (i.e., an interdependent collection of individuals and their technology that change together over time). Following this hypothesis, team researchers have adopted dynamical approaches to better understand the team cognitive processes and states that ...

Six types of multistability in a neuronal model based on slow calcium current.
BackgroundMultistability of oscillatory and silent regimes is a ubiquitous phenomenon exhibited by excitable systems such as neurons and cardiac cells. Multistability can play functional roles in short-term memory and maintaining posture.

Hidden Multistability in a Memristor-Based Cellular Neural Network
In this paper, we report a novel memristor-based cellular neural network (CNN) without equilibrium points. Dynamical behaviors of the memristor-based CNN are investigated by simulation analysis.

Tunable Optical Bistability, Tristability and Multistability in Arrays of Graphene
The optical bistability, tristability and multistability are explored in arrays of graphene. The arrays are periodically arranged spatially by single sheets of graphene.
