Multistatic-Radar Binomial Detection
IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 1978The performance of multistatic-radar binomial detectors is investigated. Although conceptually similar to the well-knwn "M-out-of-N" detector frequently considered for monostatic systems, the multistatic detector must cope with false alarms generated by target et ghosting as well as by noise threshold crossings.

Multistatic optical imaging system
SPIE Proceedings, 2014Conventional underwater laser imaging systems are configured such that the laser illuminator and the optical receiver co-exist on the same platform. The main challenge for optical imaging in turbid water is the collection of light that is scattered multiple times on its path to and from the scene of interest.

Abstract : The long-term objective of this research is to develop a theoretical foundation for the design of new multi-static sonar concepts for littoral seabed imaging and mine counter measures (MCM) operations. Multistatic configurations have been made possible by the development with ONR support of new inexpensive autonomous underwater vehicle ...

Multistatic Radar System - MRS
Fourth International Conference on Ground Penetrating Radar, 1992Single channel impulse radars have been in operation for several years for ground penetrating surveys. Usually the radar antenna is kept very close to the surface in order to get an efficient coupling to the ground. This is important when the radio wave absorbtion is strong and the desired penetration is deep.

Enhanced multistatic active sonar signal processing
2013 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing, 2013Multistatic active sonar systems involve the transmission and reception of multiple probing sequences and can achieve significantly enhanced performance of target detection and localization through exploiting spatial diversity. This paper mainly focuses on two signal processing aspects of such systems, namely, enhanced range-Doppler imaging and ...

Formation geometries for multistatic SAR tomography
Acta Astronautica, 2014Abstract This paper analyzes relative orbit design for multi-satellite radar missions aimed at multistatic SAR tomography. To this end, formation requirements and performance parameters are derived by adapting existing models for SAR tomography to single pass techniques.

Bayesian Multistatic Tracking: Results on Simulated Data from the Multistatic Tracking Working Group
2006 9th International Conference on Information Fusion, 2006The Multistatic Tracking Working Group (MSTWG) was formed in 2005 as an international team of experts focused on the unique challenges in the burgeoning field of multistatic tracking. This paper presents results from three common simulated data sets provided by MSTWG members.
