Noninvasive Intelligent Brain‐Metasurface System for Real‐Time Electromagnetic Wave Manipulation

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 13, 13 July 2026.
A noninvasive intelligent brain–computer interface (BCI) is integrated with a reconfigurable metasurface to establish a direct neural‐to electromagnetic transduction pathway for real time, multimodal wave control. By combining convolutional‐neural‐network‐based decoding of motor‐imagery electroencephalography (EEG) signals with threshold‐based ...

SLINR-Based Downlink Optimization in MU-MIMO Networks

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
Optimizing the downlink of multi-cell multiuser multiple input multiple output (MU-MIMO) networks has received substantial attention; however, the schemes in the literature consider centralized solutions requiring significant overhead in information ...

Convergence of linear interference cancellation multiuser receivers

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Communications, 2001
Summary: We consider the convergence in norm of several iterative implementations of linear multiuser receivers under the assumption of long random spreading sequences. We find that asymptotically, linear parallel interference cancellation diverges for systems loads of greater than about 17\%.

Case Series: Episodes of Care in an Intensive Care Garden—Does Fresh Air Matter?

open access: yesNursing in Critical Care, Volume 31, Issue 4, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Access to nature is found to have significant mental and physical health benefits, but there is minimal evidence of the potential impact on patients, staff and relatives from intensive care. Aims It is the purpose of this paper to explore a case series of 2 patients from an intensive care in the United Kingdom (UK), utilising a ...

An Improved Overloading Scheme for Downlink CDMA

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2005
An improved overloading scheme is presented for single-user detection in the downlink of multiple-access systems based on OCDMA/OCDMA (O/O). By displacing in time the orthogonal signatures of the two user sets that make up the overloaded system, the ...

Kalman Filter-Based Chip Differential Blind Adaptive Multiuser Detection for Variably Mobile Asynchronous Underwater Multiuser Communications

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
To mitigate the inter-symbol interference (ISI), multiple access interference (MAI), and the effect of different Doppler shifts within a data package incurred in variably mobile asynchronous underwater multiuser communications (VMAUMC), a Kalman filter ...

Multiple access interference suppression for CDMA systems via ℓ∞-minimization

open access: yesFundamental Research, 2022
A key problem in code-division multiple access (CDMA) system is to mitigate the multiple access interference (MAI) from other users while detecting the desired user.

Study of Free‐Space Optical Quantum Network: Review and Prospectives

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 36, 29 June 2026.
Free from the constraints of fiber connections, free‐space quantum network enables longer and more flexible quantum network connections. This review summarizes and comparatively analyzes free‐space quantum network experiments based on ground stations, satellites, and mobile platforms.
