Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Chemotherapy‐Associated Biological Aging in Women With Early Breast Cancer

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Women threated with adjuvant chemotherapy for early breast cancer have sustained long‐term increase in p16INK4a,, a robust marker of cell senescence, suggesting a chemotherapy‐associated age acceleration. p16INK4a as well as other biomarkers may identify patients at greatest risk for senescence‐related diseases of aging.

The McCance Brain Care Score and Mortality: Evidence From a Large‐Scale Population‐Based Cohort

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives This study aimed to examine the relationship between the McCance Brain Care Score (BCS) and mortality in the general population. Methods We conducted a prospective, population‐based cohort study using data from the UK Biobank. Participants with complete data enabling calculation of BCS and full mortality information were included ...

Offset-free tracking movement control based on model predictive control with disturbance suppression using disturbance observer

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2017
This study proposes a movement control system based on model predictive control (MPC) with state expressed identity disturbance observer (DOB). The proposed controller removes tracking errors of control variables due to disturbance influences.

Disturbance Error Reduction in Multivariable Optimal Control Systems [PDF]

open access: yesModeling, Identification and Control, 1983
The paper deals with the design of optimal multivariable controllers, using a modified LQR approach. All controllers discussed contain proportional feedback and, in addition, there may be feedforward, integral action or state estimation.

A stochastic predictive control approach to project risk management [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
This work shows a control policy based on MPC and applied to project risk management. MPC has been applied due the properties that presents such as the easy constraint treatment or the extension to multivariable case.

Association of Corticospinal Tract Asymmetry With Ambulatory Ability After Intracerebral Hemorrhage

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Ambulatory ability after intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is important to patients. We tested whether asymmetry between ipsi‐ and contra‐lesional corticospinal tracts (CSTs) assessed by diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) is associated with post‐ICH ambulation.

Adaptive Multivariable Control for Multiple Resource Allocation of Service-Based Systems in Cloud Computing

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Service-based systems resource allocation in cloud computing is a key method of meeting service requests because service request workloads and resource demands change over time.

Vibration suppression in multi-body systems by means of disturbance filter design methods [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
This paper addresses the problem of interaction in mechanical multi-body systems and shows that subsystem interaction can be considerably minimized while increasing performance if an efficient disturbance model is used.

Discovery and Targeted Proteomic Studies Reveal Striatal Markers Validated for Huntington's Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Clinical trials for Huntington's disease (HD) enrolling persons before clinical motor diagnosis (CMD) lack validated biomarkers. This study aimed to conduct an unbiased discovery analysis and a targeted examination of proteomic biomarkers scrutinized by clinical validation. Methods Cerebrospinal fluid was obtained from PREDICT‐HD and
