HvarAKR1B1‐mediated tolerance in Hippodamia variegata: Deciphering the metabolic adaptation and fitness costs under prolonged starvation

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
Starvation stress significantly affected the growth and development of Hippodamia variegata. Combined transcriptome and metabolome analysis and RNA interference verification revealed that HvarAKR1B1 may be involved in the response of Hippodamia variegata to starvation stress.

A Generative Model of Natural Texture Surrogates

open access: yes, 2015
Natural images can be viewed as patchworks of different textures, where the local image statistics is roughly stationary within a small neighborhood but otherwise varies from region to region.

Who Benefits From Green Tech? How Eco‐Innovation and Process Eco‐Innovation Shape Emissions Inequality Across G7 Economies

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study examines the asymmetric effects of eco‐innovation on income‐based carbon emissions inequality within G7 economies over the period 1990–2023. Theoretically grounded in innovation diffusion theory and political economy frameworks, we argue that green technological advancements exert non‐linear, directional effects on emissions ...

Cross-moment interaction in multivariate semi-nonparametric densities for risk forecasting

open access: yesFinancial Innovation
This paper introduces the moment interaction between different assets in the semi-nonparametric modeling of a multivariate distribution. We analyze bivariate portfolios where skewness and kurtosis may interact between different assets, showing that these

Advancing Sustainable Industrialization Under SDG 9: The Role of Financial Globalization and Income Inequality

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper investigates how income inequality and financial globalization shape sustainable industrialization across 87 countries over 2000–2022, using the SDG 9 composite index as the outcome and the Method of Moments Quantile Regression (MMQR) to capture heterogeneous effects.

A retrospective on the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season

open access: yesWeather, EarlyView.
The 2025 Atlantic hurricane season was intermittent, with extended quiet periods separated by three clusters of activity. The broad‐scale conditions were often unfavourable for cyclogenesis and common drivers of activity such as La Niña were weak, but well above‐average sea temperatures still supported intense storms.

Residual Life Assessment of Oil‐Immersed Insulating Paper by FTIR Feature Interpretability Evolution

open access: yesHigh Voltage, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The ageing of insulating paper escalates the peril of insulation failure in oil‐impregnated‐paper power equipment. Consequently, the real‐time monitoring and non‐destructive assessment of insulating paper condition assume paramount significance.

Mine cable partial discharge denoising method based on multivariate variational mode decomposition and improved wavelet threshold

open access: yesMeitan xuebao
The insulation state of the mine cable plays an important role in the stable operation of the mine power supply system. Partial discharge on-line monitoring is an important means of cable insulation state monitoring.

The multiple dimensions of intraspecific variation in seed dispersal

open access: yesFunctional Ecology, EarlyView.
Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog. Abstract Seed dispersal plays a central role in plant ecology and evolution, and understanding its variation is key to predicting species demography and range dynamics. However, dispersal is difficult to measure, and most modelling and field studies assume uniform dispersal ...
