A multivariate analysis of the outcome of endodontic treatment
In the present study, multivariate analyses were performed on clinical and treatment variables that may influence the outcome of endodontic treatment. Data collected in a previous clinical‐radiographic follow‐up study were used. Of 810 treated, 675 roots in 498 teeth were followed for 6 months to 4 yr.

Statistical inferences for outcome dependent sampling design with multivariate outcomes
An outcome-dependent sampling (ODS) design has been shown to be a cost-effective sampling scheme. In the ODS design with a continuous outcome variable, one observes the exposure with a probability, maybe unknown, depending on the outcome. In practice, multivariate data arise in many contexts, such as longitudinal data or cluster units.

Metamodeling for Policy Simulations with Multivariate Outcomes
Medical Decision Making, 2022Purpose Metamodels are simplified approximations of more complex models that can be used as surrogates for the original models. Challenges in using metamodels for policy analysis arise when there are multiple correlated outputs of interest.

Personalized treatment plans with multivariate outcomes
Biometrical Journal, 2020AbstractIn this work, we propose a novel method for individualized treatment selection when the treatment response is multivariate. Our method covers any number of treatments and it can be applied for a broad set of models. The proposed method uses a Mahalanobis‐type distance measure to establish an ordering of treatments based on treatment performance

Alcoholism and the Patterning of Outcome: a multivariate analysis
British Journal of Addiction, 1986SummaryThis study takes a particular data set deriving from 10‐year follow‐up information on 68 male alcoholics as basis for exploring patterns of outcome in multivariate terms. A Principal Components Analysis demonstrates that degree of dependence is intrinsic to the patterning of outcome.

Multivariate Association of Child Depression and Anxiety With Asthma Outcomes
Biological Psychiatry, 2021Pediatric asthma is associated with increased health services utilization, missed school days, and diminished quality of life. Children with asthma also report more frequent depressive and anxiety symptoms than children without asthma, which may further worsen asthma outcomes. The current study investigated the relationship between depressive and ...

A multivariate outcome test of covariance
2023Abstract Multivariate analysis is becoming central in studies investigating high-throughput molecular data, yet, some important features of these data are seldom explored. Here, we present MANOCCA (Multivariate Analysis of Conditional CovAriance), a powerful method to test for the effect of a predictor on the covariance matrix of a ...

Bayesian multivariate meta‐analysis with multiple outcomes
Statistics in Medicine, 2013There has been a recent growth in developments of multivariate meta‐analysis. We extend the methodology of Bayesian multivariate meta‐analysis to the situation when there are more than two outcomes of interest, which is underexplored in the current literature.
