The ethnicon Sepernas, -atis, occurring in a few fragmentary inscriptions from Nazzano in the ager Capenas, has been so far explained as a mere geographical epithet of the local Bona Dea. In this paper the author shows that it should be instead understood as referring to a Roman municipium named Seperna.
