Recent Progress in Oxide‐Based Na‐Ion Conductors

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 28, Issue 6, 18 March 2026.
Recent advances in oxide‐based sodium‐ion conductors are reviewed, focusing on β/β″‐alumina, NASICON‐type compounds, and Na5YSi4O12‐type (N5) silicates, together with emerging perovskite and layered oxides. Improvements in ionic conductivity, compositional tuning, and processing are highlighted.

Feasibility study of the GeV-energy muon source based on the High Intensity Heavy-Ion Accelerator Facility

open access: yesPhysical Review Accelerators and Beams
Generating a monoenergetic, high-energy muon beam using accelerator facilities can be very attractive for many purposes, for example, improving muon tomography currently limited by the low flux and wide energy spread of cosmic ray muons, and searching ...

Three‐dimensional density structure of La Soufrière de Guadeloupe lava dome from simultaneous muon radiographies and gravity data

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, 2017
Muon imaging has recently emerged as a powerful method to complement standard geophysical tools in the understanding of the Earth's subsurface. Muon measurements yield a “radiography” of the average density along the muon path, allowing to image large ...

Quantum state tomography with muons

open access: yes
Entanglement is a fundamental pillar of quantum mechanics. Probing quantum entanglement and testing Bell inequality with muons can be a significant leap forward, as muon is arguably the only massive elementary particle that can be manipulated and detected over a wide range of energies, e.g., from approximately 0.3 to $10^2$ GeV, corresponding to ...

A detector for muon tomography: Data acquisition and preliminary results [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
I describe the general design of the prototype particle detector constructed by the Maya Muon Tomography Group and how it can be used to e ectively \x-ray" building and ground structure in a location of interest using cosmic-ray muons.

Muon Tomography of Subsurface Structures in the Nagórzyce Cave System

open access: yesApplied Sciences
This paper presents an application of cosmic-ray muon tomography for investigating subsurface structures in the Nagórzyce Cave system in Poland. Long-term measurements of a near-horizontal muon flux were carried out using four low-cost CREDO-Maze ...
