ML-Based Dual View Object Localization From Straight and Scattered Muon Rays

open access: yesIEEE Access
Imaging methods based on the scattering of atmospheric muons use the natural flux of muons produced in the atmosphere. Muon tomography (MT) has emerged as a promising technology in various applications, including detecting contraband in border security ...

Optical Manipulation of Multiferroic Phases in BiFeO3 Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 13, Issue 7, 7 April 2026.
At the strain‐driven morphotropic phase boundary, optical control over the multiferroic rhombohedral and tetragonal phase mixture is demonstrated using above‐bandgap light illumination. The photoinduced charge carriers modify the electrostatic environment and induce the conversion into a single tetragonal phase.

Advanced Material Identification in Muon Tomography

open access: yes
Muon tomography employs cosmic ray muons to image the internal structure and material composition of target volumes, such as maritime cargo containers. Despite its potential, the high dimensionality of reconstructed muon tomography data poses challenges ...

Catalyst‐Free Mass Polymerization and Characterization of Bio‐Polyhydroxhyurethanes Based on Resorcinol Bis(Cyclocarbonate)

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, Volume 311, Issue 4, April 2026.
Non‐isocyanate polyhydroxyurethanes (PHUs) were synthesized from resorcinol bis(cyclocarbonate) and eco‐friendly diamines under mild, catalyst‐free conditions. The resulting polymers were extensively characterized for their structural, thermal, and mechanical properties, as well as processability and adhesion performance.

Simulation Study of 3D Imaging Method for Low and Medium Atomic Number Objects at Small Scale by Cosmic-ray Muon

open access: yesYuanzineng kexue jishu, 2022
Cosmic-ray muon imaging is a new non-destructive technique that uses highly penetrating natural muon to reconstruct objects with high atomic number (Z) or subjects hidden in something by applying muon scattering or transmission technique, respectively ...

Unravelling superstructure and electronic ordering in LiNiO2 bulk single crystals grown by optical floating zone technique

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section B, Volume 82, Issue 2, Page 154-158, April 2026.
A breakthrough in the first successful single‐crystal growth of LiNiO2 using the floating zone technique is reported. The as‐grown single‐crystal quality has been thoroughly analysed using laboratory and high‐energy X‐rays. Superlattice reflections are found, clearly seen using the laboratory diffractometer and resonant elastic X‐ray scattering ...

Terrestrial ages of meteorites from the Atacama Desert (Chile) and insights into the past meteorite flux to Earth

open access: yesMeteoritics &Planetary Science, Volume 61, Issue 4, Page 644-663, April 2026.
Abstract The Atacama Desert in Chile is characterized by its high meteorite density and old meteorite terrestrial ages. In this work, we present new terrestrial ages derived from measurements of the concentration of cosmogenic 36Cl in the metal fraction of 51 ordinary chondrites collected over a 6.8 km2 area located in the Catalina Dense Collection ...
