Structural and magnetic investigations of the Weyl semimetal family CeAlSi1–xGex

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section B, Volume 82, Issue 3, Page 250-257, June 2026.
A systematic investigation is reported of the structural and magnetic evolution in the CeAlSi1–xGex series, combining X‐ray and neutron diffraction with magnetization measurements on polycrystalline samples and single crystals. Chemical substitution leads to a continuous lattice expansion and a suppression of the ferromagnetic ordering temperature ...

Design and Simulation of a Muon Detector Using Wavelength-Shifting Fiber Readouts for Border Security

open access: yesInstruments
Cosmic ray muon tomography is a promising method for the non-invasive inspection of shipping containers and trucks. It leverages the highly penetrating cosmic muons and their interactions with various materials to generate three-dimensional images of ...

DEASA studies and applications to space physics and muon tomography

open access: yesSciPost Physics Proceedings, 2023
The high energy cosmic rays entering the Earth’s atmosphere throw light upon many aspects of Astroparticle and Particle Physics. This work outlines investigative learning about these high energy primaries based on a mini array DEASA in Agra, India. DEASA

Observation of a Downward Terrestrial Gamma‐Ray Flash Associated With Dart Leaders of a Negative Cloud‐To‐Ground Lightning Flash

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres, Volume 131, Issue 10, 28 May 2026.
Abstract We report the observation of a downward terrestrial gamma‐ray flash (TGF) during the dart‐leader stage in a negative cloud‐to‐ground lightning flash. The observation was recorded by the Telescope Array Surface Detector, in conjunction with a Lightning Mapping Array, an interferometer (INTF), a fast antenna, and a high‐speed camera.

Application for Society : Muon Tomography

open access: yes, 2022
We are accustomed to X-ray radiography to look inside the human body. A similar technique, called muon tomography (or radiography) uses invisible particles from the atmosphere to look into large structures of or on our earth.

Versatile Magneto‐Dielectric Response of Epitaxial Thin Films of the High Entropy Oxide Perovskite Nd(Cr0.2Mn0.2Fe0.2Co0.2Ni0.2)O3

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 26, 8 May 2026.
The magnetic high entropy oxide perovskite Nd(Cr0.2Mn0.2Fe0.2Co0.2Ni0.2)O3 exhibits a substantially large dielectric constant (εr) at room temperature, which shows distinct anionic and cationic contributions in the form of zero and finite bias peaks, respectively, down to its magnetic transition temperature (Tmag).

Studies on muon tomography for archaeological internal structures scanning

open access: yes, 2015
International audienceMuon tomography is a potential non-invasive technique for internal structure scanning. It has already interesting applications in geophysics and can be used for archaeological purposes. Muon tomography is based on the measurement of
