Neural Oscillations Track Subjective and Pupillary Arousal During Naturalistic Movie Viewing
European Journal of Neuroscience, Volume 63, Issue 9, May 2026.In this study, participants watched an emotionally evocative movie while EEG, pupil size and continuous subjective arousal annotations were recorded. By extracting the mean group arousal signatures, we revealed a cross‐modal convergence (r = 0.40) between the pupillary and subjective measures.
