Effects of the number of markers per haplotype and clustering of haplotypes on the accuracy of QTL mapping and prediction of genomic breeding values

open access: yes, 2009
The aim of this paper was to compare the effect of haplotype definition on the precision of QTL-mapping and on the accuracy of predicted genomic breeding values.

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Effects of 60Co-γ Ray Irradiation on the Quality of Ponkan Peels [PDF]

open access: yesShipin Kexue
To investigate the effect of different doses of 60Co-γ ray irradiation on the quality of ponkan peels, the major functional components of irradiated ponkan peels were determined by ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectrophotometry and high performance ...

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Field and laboratory assessments of sugarcane mutants selected in vitro for resistance to imazapyr herbicide [PDF]

open access: yesCrop Breeding and Applied Biotechnology, 2017
Seven imazapyr-tolerant mutant sugarcane plants, previously generated by in vitro mutagenesis, were studied. The imazapyr concentrations required to inhibit their acetolactate synthase (ALS basal activity) (IC50 as μmoles acetoin h-1 mg-1 protein) were 0.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.
