On the Mutual Coupling Matrix in Array Signal Processing
2020 54th Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems, and Computers, 2020We discuss some of the issues associated with the Mutual Coupling Matrix (MCM) which is used extensively to model the antenna array manifold. We show that the MCM does not have the correct structure to provide an accurate mathematical model of the true array manifold.

Mutual Coupling with Dipoles in Arrays
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1963Mutual coupling between transducers in a plane array may be eliminated completely if thin oscillating disks are used as radiators. The radiation resistance of such dipoles is very low unless the diameter is about a half-wavelength in the fluid medium or the disk is bordered with a finite rigid baffle.

Coupling-induced resonance in two mutually and asymmetrically coupled oscillators
Physical Review E, 2008We consider two mutually coupled oscillators, where we have independent control over the magnitude, sign, and delay of the coupling signal. For appropriate tuning of the coupling constants, there is a coupling-induced resonance where the amplitude becomes large.
