Microstructure, Thermal Transport, and Dry‐Sliding Tribology of Powder‐Metallurgy Al7075 Composites Reinforced With Sol–Gel‐Derived ZnO–rGO Hybrid Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Sol–gel‐derived ZnO–rGO hybrid nanoparticles enable Al7075 powder‐metallurgy composites to achieve concurrent gains in hardness and thermal conductivity while markedly lowering friction and wear. The hybrid architecture couples ZnO‐based load support with rGO‐assisted lamellar sliding and heat spreading, revealing a promising route toward lightweight ...

Reduction of mutual coupling between compact MIMO antennas arrays

open access: yes, 2010
A novel technique for reducing the electromagnetic coupling between closely spaced MIMO antenna arrays on a compact ground plane is presented. The proposed ground plane introduces pairs of miniaturised convoluted slits between two PIFAs resulting in a ...

Stretching the Printability Metric in Direct‐Ink Writing with Highly Extensible Yield‐Stress Fluids

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces “drawability” as a new metric for assessing printability in direct‐ink writing, focusing on gap‐spanning performance and speed robustness. By designing yield‐stress fluids with high extensibility, we demonstrate that extensional strain‐to‐break significantly enhances printability.

Exploring Curvature Effects in Direct‐Written 3D Curved Hollow Magnetic Nanoshells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fabricated by a hybrid FEBID/CVD method, 3D PtC/Co3Fe core–shell heterostructures with engineered curvature and shell thickness exhibit complex reversal modes with axially symmetric N'eel‐type domain walls. XMCD‐PEEM combined with full‐scale micromagnetic simulations reveal how curvature and thickness govern the domain wall energy landscape and shape ...

Swelling‐Programmed Topographical Guidance for Dynamic Spheroid Self‐Assembly via a Mechanochemical Hydrogel Niche

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A swelling‐programmed micropatterned hydrogel guides adherent cells through a controlled transition from cell–matrix anchoring to cadherin‐mediated cell–cell compaction, enabling rapid assembly of high‐viability spheroids with defined size and morphology.

Investigation into further reduction of mutual coupling between Wang-shaped patch antennas

open access: yes, 2014
Results of further reduction of mutual coupling between Wang-shaped patch antennas are presented in this paper. Two methods were investigated: offset elements arranged in a rhombus lattice and that added with shorting posts.
