Optimal integrated planning of MV-LV distribution systems using DPSO

open access: yes, 2011
A new technique for optimal planning of MV and LV segments of a distribution system is presented in this paper. The main goal is to find optimally distribution transformer and substation locations and ratings, as well as, the route and type of Medium ...

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Advanced continuum approaches for treating time correlation functions. The role of solute shape and solvent structure

open access: yes, 1999
Time correlation functions describing the solvent relaxation around a molecule of coumarin-153 and a benzophenone anion in acetonitrile are calculated using dynamical continuum theories of solvation with an experimental dielectric function epsilon(omega)

Convex chains in a pseudo MV-algebra [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
summary:For a pseudo $MV$-algebra $\mathcal A$ we denote by $\ell (\mathcal A)$ the underlying lattice of $\mathcal A$. In the present paper we investigate the algebraic properties of maximal convex chains in $\ell (\mathcal A)$ containing the element ...

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Subdirectly irreducible MV-algebras [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
summary:In this note we characterize the one-generated subdirectly irreducible MV-algebras and use this characterization to prove that a quasivariety of MV-algebras has the relative congruence extension property if and only if it is a ...

In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

Relationship Between Hyper MV -algebras and Hyperlattices

open access: yesAnnals of the West University of Timisoara: Mathematics and Computer Science, 2016
Sh. Ghorbani, et al. [9], generalized the concept of MV -algebras and defined the notion of hyper MV -algebras. Now, in this paper, we try to prove that any hyper MV -algebra is a hyperlattice. First we prove that any hyper MV -algebra that satisfies the
