Molecular detection and characterisation of Mycoplasma species in community owned dogs of Kerala, a South Indian State [PDF]
Haemotropic mycoplasmas (haemoplasmas) are obligate epierythrocytic bacteria that infect a wide range of vertebrate hosts. The molecular characterisation of Mycoplasma organisms in dogs has not previously been attempted from India.

A molecular survey of hemoplasma (Mycoplasma haemofelis and 'Candidatus Mycoplasma haemominutum') in Yamaguchi Prefecture and surrounding areas was performed by using molecular methods. PCR-RFLP with HindIII revealed that 2 cats were infected with M. haemofelis, and 16 with 'C. Mycoplasma haemominutum' among 102 randomly selected cats. Partial 16S rRNA

Evaluation of endothelial glycocalyx injury biomarkers in feline hemotropic mycoplasmosis [PDF]
The present study aimed to investigate endothelial glycocalyx (eGCx) damage in cats with feline hemotropic mycoplasmosis caused by Mycoplasma haemofelis using selected biomarkers and to determine the diagnostic and prognostic significance of these ...

Feline vector-borne haemopathogens in Türkiye: the first molecular detection of Mycoplasma wenyonii and ongoing Babesia ovis DNA presence in unspecific hosts [PDF]
Background Cats are hosts and reservoirs for many haemopathogens such as piroplasms, Rickettsia, hemotropic Mycoplasma, Bartonella, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma, which are transmitted by various vector arthropods and some of which have a zoonotic concern ...

Identification, bioinformatics analyses, and expression of immunoreactive antigens of Mycoplasma haemofelis. [PDF]
ABSTRACTMycoplasma haemofelisinfection frequently causes anemia in cats. Despite an intense immune response and/or antibiotic treatment, cats often remain asymptomatic carriers following infection. Our hypothesis is that detection of antibodies toM. haemofelisis a sensitive approach for identifying infected cats, particularly carriers.

Mycoplasma haemofelis em gato - relato de caso [PDF]
Mycoplasma haemofelis is a potentially zoonotic pleomorphic bacterium that infects the erythrocytes of several domestic species. The present report describes the case of a female, 2-year-old, unspayed Persian cat with a history of anorexia, mild dehydration, prostration, body condition score between 1 and 2, lethargy, enlarged mandibular and popliteal ...
