Effect of Mycoplasma Synoviae on Broiler Performance

open access: yesPoultry Science, 1973
Abstract Two trials were conducted to determine the effect of Mycoplasma synoviae (Ms.) on broiler performance. A total of 1,200 males and 1,200 females was used in each trial. At 28 days of age, 75 birds per pen were placed, sexes separate, in 32 pens in a house equally divided by a solid partition. The temperature in the house was maintained at 21°

Polymerase chain reaction-based discrimination of viable from non-viable Mycoplasma gallisepticum [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The present study was based on the reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) of the 16S ribosomal nucleic acid (rRNA) of Mycoplasma for detection of viable Mycoplasma gallisepticum. To determine the stability of M.

"Molecular Detection of Mycoplasma Gallisepticum and Mycoplasma Synoviae Infection in Poultry"

open access: yesBiomedical Journal of Scientific & Technical Research, 2022
In Pakistan, production of poultry has been evolved as a good alternate of beef and mutton. In this study multiplex PCR approaches were adopted to differentiate and detect avian mycoplasma in a single PCR reaction as a step forward in the economization of PCR detection. From the total of 25 samples, 25 (100%) had a positive Mycoplasma isolation result.

Pathogenicity ofMycoplasma synoviaein Broiler Chickens [PDF]

open access: yesVeterinary Pathology, 1998
Six isolates of Mycoplasma synoviae, identified as WVU 1853, K1968, K1858, 92D8034, F10–2AS, and FMT, were compared for pathogenicity in broiler chickens. Specific-pathogen-free chickens were inoculated, in two groups of 20, with each isolate by footpad or eyedrop inoculation at 1 day of age and were examined at necropsy 7, 14, 28, and 42 days ...

Preliminary Research on Mycoplasma synoviae Vertical Transmission Rate into Primordial Germ Cells

open access: yesThe Journal of Poultry Science, 2011
The vertical transmission rate of Mycoplasma synoviae into primordial germ cells (PGCs) was evaluated. PGCs were collected from eggs (n=54) of M. synoviae positive chickens, with 10 to 214 PGCs obtained per egg. PGCs were mixed with Frey's medium (

Vaccination of Cattle with the N Terminus of LppQ of Mycoplasma mycoides subsp. mycoides Results in Type III Immune Complex Disease upon Experimental Infection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Contagious bovine pleuropneumonia (CBPP) is a serious respiratory disease of cattle caused by Mycoplasma mycoides subsp. mycoides. Current vaccines against CBPP induce short-lived immunity and can cause severe postvaccine reactions. Previous studies have

Experimental evidence of indirect transmission of Mycoplasma synoviae [PDF]

open access: yesVeterinary Research, 2005
The aim of the study was to analyse experimental transmission of Mycoplasma synoviae, an avian pathogen. Three experiments using specific pathogen-free day-old chicks placed in isolators were conducted. In the first experiment, the birds were introduced in an isolator previously contaminated with a M. synoviae broth culture.

SystemicMycoplasma synoviaeinfection in broiler chickens [PDF]

open access: yesAvian Pathology, 2005
Systemic Mycoplasma synoviae infection in 47-day-old broiler chickens with septicaemic lesions and increased carcass condemnation rate is reported. The clinical history included respiratory signs and an enlarged keel bursa. Condemnations at the processing plant were due to airsacculitis and keel bursitis.

Creating a laboratory model of Mycoplasma gallisepticum and Mycoplasma synoviae associated infection

open access: yesВетеринария сегодня
Introduction. Respiratory mycoplasmosis and infectious synovitis are economically significant and notifiable avian diseases, therefore, the issue of Mycoplasma gallisepticum and Mycoplasma synoviae control on poultry farms is of great importance ...

Epidemiological investigation of Mycoplasma Synoviae in native chicken breeds in China

open access: yesBMC Veterinary Research, 2017
Backgroud Mycoplasma synoviae (M. synoviae) is widely distributed around the world, and leads to serious economic losses in the world every year. Nevertheless, the incidence and epidemiology of M.
