La investigación se llevó a cabo en el municipio de Sibaté, vereda El Charquito, Cundinamarca, a una altitud de 2724 m.s.n.m., temperatura media de 13.5 grados centígrados y precipitación media de 586.5 mm anuales. Se utilizaron plantas de fresa de la variedad Sweet Charlie, en un total de 30 plantas en tratamiento.
