Single-cell profiling identifies myeloid cell subsets with distinct fates during neuroinflammation
A myeloid cell atlas of neuroinflammation Myeloid cells, such as dendritic cells and macrophages, in the central nervous system (CNS) play critical roles in the initiation and exacerbation of multiple sclerosis (MS). Jordão et al.

CD226+CD8+ T cells express elevated levels of RUNX2, exhibit higher proliferation capacity, cytokines and cytolytic molecules expression, and migratory capacity. In contrast, CD226−CD8+ T cells display an exhausted phenotype associated with the increased expression of co‐inhibitory receptors and impaired effector functions.

Triacsin C inhibition of the acyl‐CoA synthetase long chain (ACSL) family decreases multiple myeloma cell survival, proliferation, mitochondrial respiration, and membrane potential. Made with Biorender.com. Multiple myeloma (MM) is an incurable cancer of plasma cells with a 5‐year survival rate of 59%.

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is a disease with very poor prognosis due to therapeutic limitations. We investigated the antitumor effects of cystatin A (CSTA) in PDAC murine models. We are first to confirm that CSTA enhances T helper type 1‐mediated antitumor effects through promotion of dendritic cells and M1 macrophage activity. CSTA can be

Immunophenotypes of Acute Myeloid Leukemia From Flow Cytometry Data Using Templates [PDF]
Motivation: We investigate whether a template-based classification pipeline could be used to identify immunophenotypes in (and thereby classify) a heterogeneous disease with many subtypes. The disease we consider here is Acute Myeloid Leukemia, which is heterogeneous at the morphologic, cytogenetic and molecular levels, with several known subtypes. The

BACKGROUND BCR-ABL, a constitutively activated tyrosine kinase, is the product of the Philadelphia chromosome. This enzyme is present in virtually all cases of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) throughout the course of the disease, and in 20 percent of ...

Using mass cytometry, we analyzed serial blood samples from patients with relapsed epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) treated with oleclumab–durvalumab combination immunotherapy in the NSGO‐OV‐UMB1/ENGOT‐OV30 trial. Our analysis identified potential predictive, monitoring, and response biomarkers detectable through liquid biopsy. These findings facilitate

Myeloid-Derived Suppressor Cells
Myeloid cells developed evolutionarily as a major mechanism to protect the host. They evolved as a critical barrier against infections and are important contributors to tissue remodeling. However, in cancer, myeloid cells are largely converted to serve a
