Morphological and Immunophenotypic Clues to the WHO Categories of Acute Myeloid Leukaemia
Diagnosis and classification of acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) require cytogenetic and molecular genetic investigation. However, while these evaluations are pending, morphology supplemented by immunophenotyping can provide clues to the diagnosis of ...

We identified adaptor protein ShcD as upregulated in triple‐negative breast cancer and found its expression to be correlated with reduced patient survival and increased invasion in cell models. Using a proteomic screen, we identified novel ShcD binding partners involved in EGFR signaling pathways.

Bcor loss perturbs myeloid differentiation and promotes leukaemogenesis
BCL6 corepressor (BCOR) is recurrently mutated in acute myeloid leukaemia and myelodysplastic syndrome. Here, the authors use mouse models to show the mechanism of how inactivation of BCOR in haematopoietic stem cells contributes to the development of ...

Acute leukaemias are characterised by uncontrolled proliferation of immature blood cells with lymphoid or myeloid lineage. Morphological classification is based on the identification of the leukaemia cell line and its stage of differentiation.

Landscape of BRAF transcript variants in human cancer
We investigate the annotation of BRAF variants, focusing on protein‐coding BRAF‐220 (formerly BRAF‐reference) and BRAF‐204 (BRAF‐X1). The IsoWorm pipeline allows us to quantify these variants in human cancer, starting from RNA‐sequencing data. BRAF‐204 is more abundant than BRAF‐220 and impacts patient survival.

A Case of Abdominal Sarcoidosis in a Patient with Acute Myeloid Leukemia
The allogeneic bone marrow transplantation usually preceded by induction chemotherapy, in fit patients, represents the gold standard in the acute myeloid leukaemia.

Acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) is a highly heterogeneous disorder and is characterised by the proliferation of poorly differentiated myeloid cells due to underlying mutation, eventually causing bone marrow failure.

Murine Models of Acute Myeloid Leukaemia
Acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) is a rare but severe form of human cancer that results from a limited number of functionally cooperating genetic abnormalities leading to uncontrolled proliferation and impaired differentiation of hematopoietic stem and ...

This study investigates gene expression differences between two major pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) subtypes, B‐cell precursor ALL, and T‐cell ALL, using a data‐driven approach consisting of biostatistics and machine learning methods. Following analysis of a discovery dataset, we find a set of 14 expression markers differentiating the ...

Chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) is a clonal myeloproliferative disorder resulting from a reciprocal translocation between the long arms of chromosomes 9 and 22. This is termed the Philadelphia chromosome, and leads to production of the fusion onco-protein BCR-ABL, a 210 kDa constitutively active tyrosine kinase.
