The Posterolaterally Oriented and Laterally Downward Sloping Facet Joint Is a Risk Factor for Degenerative Cervical Spondylolisthesis and Myelopathy

open access: yesSpine Surgery and Related Research, 2022

Lupus myelopathy [PDF]

open access: yesPractical Neurology, 2017
Although neurological manifestations of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) are well recognised, myelopathy complicating SLE is rare. A 35-year-old woman presented with non-specific symptoms and a respiratory tract infection but had serological evidence of SLE. She subsequently deteriorated rapidly, developing a catastrophic spinal cord syndrome.

Myelopathy associated with age-related cervical disc herniation: a retrospective review of magnetic resonance images

open access: yesAnnals of Saudi Medicine, 2017
BACKGROUND: Cervical intervertebral disc herniation can lead to myelopathy. Aging is an established variable related to spondylotic myelopathy. Studying this association will help in controlling the increase in spondylotic myelopathy with age. OBJECTIVES:

Spontaneous Spinal Epidural Hematoma: Report of Two Cases and Literature Review

open access: yesInternational Clinical Neuroscience Journal, 2021
Spontaneous spinal epidural hematoma (SSEH) is a rare disease but may lead to life-threatening consequences if not timely diagnosed and managed. Emergent hematoma evacuation is indicated before neurological deficits become irreversible.
