Cerebral autoregulation in patients with acute lacunar infarction: a reliable predictor of outcome
Abstract Objective To further investigate the association between dynamic cerebral autoregulation (dCA) and the outcomes in patients with acute lacunar infarction. Methods Patients were prospectively and consecutively enrolled at The First Hospital of Jilin University between 2016 and 2023. dCA was monitored at 1–3 and 7–10 days after the stroke.

Objective The main objective of this study is to examine the safety of oral acetaminophen at its therapeutic dose in adults aged ≥65 years. Methods This population‐based cohort study used the Clinical Practice Research Datalink‐Gold data. Participants were aged ≥65 years registered with a UK general practice for at least 12 months between 1998 and 2018.

Automatic Myocardial Infarction Evaluation from Delayed-Enhancement Cardiac MRI using Deep Convolutional Networks [PDF]
In this paper, we propose a new deep learning framework for an automatic myocardial infarction evaluation from clinical information and delayed enhancement-MRI (DE-MRI). The proposed framework addresses two tasks. The first task is automatic detection of myocardial contours, the infarcted area, the no-reflow area, and the left ventricular cavity from a

Serum lipid profiles in acute myocardial infarction patients in Gorgan [PDF]
Acute myocardial infarction is one of the important reasons of death and unhealthiness in the world. The present study was undertaken to investigate the changes in serum lipids and lipoproteins in patients with acute myocardial infarction. This study was

Complete Revascularization with Multivessel PCI for Myocardial Infarction.
BACKGROUND In patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) of the culprit lesion reduces the risk of cardiovascular death or myocardial infarction.

Hypoxia promotes the epithelial‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) of renal tubular epithelial cells via the SIRT1‐FoxO1‐FoxO3‐autophagy pathway, thereby resulting in the fibrosis of renal tubular epithelial cells. Activation of SIRT1 or induction of autophagy inhibits this process, alleviating hypoxia‐induced fibrosis.

Infarct size and left ventricular remodelling after preventive percutaneous coronary intervention [PDF]
Objective: We hypothesised that, compared with culprit-only primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), additional preventive PCI in selected patients with ST-elevation myocardial infarction with multivessel disease would not be associated with ...

Post-traumatic stress disorder among heart disease patients: a clinical follow-up of individuals with myocardial infarction in the Tromsø Study [PDF]
Background Myocardial infarction is likely to be experienced as a life-threatening and potentially traumatic event. Approximately one-third of patients with myocardial infarction experience clinically significant symptoms of anxiety/ depression. However,
