Convolution Neural Network for Objective Myocardial Viability Assessment Based on Regional Wall Thickness Quantification From Cine-MR Images

open access: yesIEEE Access
In clinical routine, the assessment of myocardial viability is based on visual analysis of late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) sequences. This procedure remains subjective and insufficient, particularly in cases of improbable viability, where scar ...

Allogeneic mesenchymal stromal cells overexpressing mutant human Hypoxia-inducible factor 1-α (HIF1-α) in an ovine model of acute myocardial infarction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Background-Bone marrow mesenchymal stromal cells (BMMSCs) are cardioprotective in acute myocardial infarction (AMI) because of release of paracrine angiogenic and prosurvival factors.

Investigating Mitochondrial Viscosity in Ferroptosis‐Mediated Drug‐Induced Liver Injury using a Double‐Targeted Strategy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Utilizing a mitochondrial double‐targeted strategy, a novel near‐infrared fluorescent probe (FTZ‐2) is established for monitoring viscosity variations in ferroptosis‐mediated drug‐induced liver injury. In summary, this work provided a practical strategy for the early diagnosis and evaluation of liver injury.

A Systemic Selective Modified mRNA Delivery Platform for Preventing Chemotherapy‐Induced Cardiotoxicity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In Yoo and Mainkar et al., we present a minimally invasive, CM‐selective modRNA delivery system encapsulated in lipid nanoparticles for intravenous (IV) administration. This platform enables selective cardiac translation of therapeutic modRNA but suppresses expression in off‐target tissues, including tumors.
