Comparison of the Application Value of 4‐Dimensional Hysterosalpingo‐Contrast Sonography and X‐Ray Hysterosalpingography in Intrauterine Insemination

open access: yesJournal of Ultrasound in Medicine, Volume 45, Issue 8, Page 1655-1661, August 2026.
Objectives To compare the application value of 4‐dimensional hysterosalpingo‐contrast sonography (4D‐HyCoSy) and x‐ray hysterosalpingography (HSG) in intrauterine insemination (IUI) patients. Methods In this retrospective study, a total of 725 infertile patients who underwent IUI in Ganzhou Maternal and Child Health Hospital from January 2023 to June ...

Priming of labor with tafoxiparin in nulliparous term pregnant women with unripe cervix—Proof‐of‐concept and dose‐finding results from a randomized controlled trial

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, Volume 105, Issue 8, Page 1566-1577, August 2026.
This study shows that tafoxiparin 300 mg can increase the rate of cervical ripening and the likelihood of spontaneous onset of labor, while also reducing the duration of labor in women achieving spontaneous onset of labor. The favorable safety profile of tafoxiparin suggests suitability for routine clinical use, including home administration.

Placental basal plate with attached myofibers and adverse pregnancy outcomes: A systematic scoping review

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, Volume 105, Issue 8, Page 1435-1444, August 2026.
The presence of basal plate myometrial fibers was associated with higher rates of placenta‐related pregnancy disorders and abnormal placental attachment in subsequent pregnancies, but heterogeneity in the data was found due to variable inclusion criteria, sampling methods, and reported outcomes.

Silent Migration for Three Decades, Intravesical and Sigmoid Colon Perforation by a Forgotten IUCD: A Rare Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT IUCD migration can cause severe complications like bladder and sigmoid perforation, even decades post‐insertion. Regular follow‐up, timely imaging, and thorough patient education are critical for early detection and multidisciplinary management to prevent long‐term adverse outcomes and ensure patient safety in reproductive health care.

Potassium Channels in the Human Myometrium

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, 2001
The contractility of the human uterus is under the fine control of a variety of interacting bioactive agents. During labour, the excitability of the uterus is drastically transformed in comparison with the non‐labour state and is manifest at the membrane level via the acivity of uterine ion channels.

Spontaneous Complete Uterine Rupture With Fetal Demise at Term Following Laparoscopic Myomectomy: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Uterine rupture, a life‐threatening emergency in late pregnancy or labor, has been increasingly reported post‐laparoscopic myomectomy (LM). We report a case of spontaneous rupture with fetal demise managed surgically. This case highlights the diagnostic challenge in patients with LM history, emphasizing suspicion for rupture without classic ...

Prostaglandin pathways in equine myometrium regulations: endometrosis progression

open access: yesFrontiers in Veterinary Science
IntroductionProstaglandins (PG) are important regulators of the myometrial contractility in mammals. Endometrosis, a condition characterized by morphological changes in the equine endometrium, also affects endometrial secretory function.
