The Cases of Kasimov and Myshkin: How Spatial Identity Males Some Cities More Mteropolitan than Others

open access: yesСравнительная политика, 2015
In this article the concept of capitalness as a component of spatial identity is observed on the example of small towns Kasimov and Myshkin. The author analyses, why the concept of capitalness has not got full development while in Myshkin it has been ...

ON ONE MODEL INTEGRAL-DIFFERENTIAL BERNULL EQUATION [PDF]

open access: yesVestnik KRAUNC: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2017
The model integro-differential Bernlulli equation is considered in the paper. This equation was reduced to a differential equation with derivatives of fractional orders and solved numerically with the help of Newton’s iteration method.

Rogozhin and Christ: an Attempt of Interpretation [PDF]

open access: yesДостоевский и мировая культура: Филологический журнал, 2019
This article attempts to interpret one of the final episodes of F.M. Dostoevsky’s Novel The Idiot as a parallel to an event of Evangelic story, namely the co-crucifixion of Christ and the Good Thief. The possibility of such interpretation, in our opinion,

IMAGES OF PRE-THUNDER AND THUNDERSTORMS IN THE NOVEL OF F. M. DOSTOEVSKY “THE IDIOT”: PSYCHOLOGICAL PARALLELISM, SYMBOLISM AND POLYPHONY

open access: yesМногоязычие в образовательном пространстве, 2021
The article examines the artistic features of the image of a thunderstorm in Dostoevsky‟s novel “The Idiot.” The theory of symbol developed by A. Losev and S. Averintsev, the idea of psychological parallelism in a literary text studied by A.

“He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble” (Lk 1:52): Transformation of Structures of Power and Violence in F. M. Dostoevsky’s Novel “The Idiot” [PDF]

open access: yesВестник Свято-Филаретовского института, 2021
In this essay we investigate the link between Nastasya Filippovna in F. M. Dostoevsky’s novel “The Idiot”, on the one hand, and Our Lady in St Luke’s Gospel, on the other hand. In doing so we focus particularly on the “Magnificat” (Lk 1: 46–55). Both the

Research into Correlation between the Lubrication Mode of Contact Surfaces and Dynamic Parameters of Turbo‐Generator Transmissions

open access: yesAdvances in Materials Science and Engineering, Volume 2019, Issue 1, 2019., 2019
The paper presents the results of an experimental study aimed at assessing the correlation between the measurement of dynamic parameters (vibration, high‐frequency vibration, and acoustic emission) and the analysis of friction mode and the state of lubrication of the contact surfaces of two gearboxes in the turbo‐generator assembly (high‐speed single ...

Circadian Rhythm Disturbances in Mood Disorders: Insights into the Role of the Suprachiasmatic Nucleus

open access: yesNeural Plasticity, Volume 2017, Issue 1, 2017., 2017
Circadian rhythm disturbances are a common symptom among individuals with mood disorders. The suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN), in the ventral part of the anterior hypothalamus, orchestrates physiological and behavioral circadian rhythms. The SCN consists of self‐sustaining oscillators and receives photic and nonphotic cues, which entrain the SCN to the ...

Physical Activity Modulates Common Neuroplasticity Substrates in Major Depressive and Bipolar Disorder

open access: yesNeural Plasticity, Volume 2017, Issue 1, 2017., 2017
Mood disorders (MDs) are chronic, recurrent mental diseases that affect millions of individuals worldwide. Although the biogenic amine model has provided some clinical utility, a need remains to better understand the interrelated mechanisms that contribute to neuroplasticity deficits in MDs and the means by which various therapeutics mitigate them.

Effect of Polypropylene Modification by Impregnation with Oil on Its Wear and Friction Coefficient at Variable Load and Various Friction Rates

open access: yesInternational Journal of Polymer Science, Volume 2017, Issue 1, 2017., 2017
Laboratorial two‐body wear testing was carried out in order to assess effects of polypropylene modification by impregnating it with oils on friction coefficient and wear in comparison to those parameters of unmodified polypropylene, Teflon, and polyamide during operation under conditions of sliding friction without lubrication.

Friction of Polymers Sliding on Smooth Surfaces

open access: yesAdvances in Tribology, Volume 2011, Issue 1, 2011., 2011
Friction plots of polymers sliding on smooth metal surfaces are generally characterized by two regions of distinct dependency on the normal load, with low sensitivity at low stress levels followed by a sharp change in the rate of decrease of friction with increasing pressure at levels above the plastic flow limit of the polymer.
