N-Acetylglucosaminyltransferase III Antagonizes the Effect of N-Acetylglucosaminyltransferase V on α3β1 Integrin-mediated Cell Migration [PDF]
N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase V (GnT-V) catalyzes the addition of beta1,6-GlcNAc branching of N-glycans, which contributes to metastasis. N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase III (GnT-III) catalyzes the formation of a bisecting GlcNAc structure in N-glycans, resulting in the suppression of metastasis.

Parasitoid wasps deploy maternal and embryonic factors to reprogramme host physiology. Venom, calyx fluid, polydnaviruses, teratocytes and larval secretions act in a coordinated, compartmentalised manner. Host‐regulation factors are promising sources of insecticidal, antimicrobial and bioinspired translational molecules.

Abstract Background and Objectives Muscle‐Eye‐Brain disease (MEB) is a dystroglycanopathy that belongs to the congenital muscular dystrophies. Central nervous system manifestations include congenital brain abnormalities, neurodevelopmental delay, and epilepsy, making it a rare but important cause of developmental and epileptic encephalopathy.

Neutrophils acquire extracellular fatty acids or adipocyte‐derived lipids and store them as triglycerides, polarizing into a lipid‐laden phenotype. Lipid‐laden neutrophils are found in the peripheral blood of HFD‐fed mice and patients with MASLD. These neutrophils release extracellular vesicles enriched with triglycerides and microRNAs that deliver ...

ABSTRACT Influenza viruses cause seasonal epidemics, and current vaccines do not fully protect against them. This study focuses on long non‐coding RNAs (lncRNAs), which are RNA molecules that do not code for proteins but play crucial roles in various biological processes. We identified 17 lncRNAs altered by the influenza virus.

Laboratory studies show KS has electroconductive properties with the ability to trap and transport protons in neurotransductive processes (Grotthuss proton shuttling). This maintains electrochemical gradients and fluxes at the neuronal cell surface in neural activation. Such processes are central to neuronal cell signaling and communication.

Expanding the Genotypic Spectrum of POMGNT1‐Related Muscle‐Eye‐Brain Disease: A Case Report
Compound heterozygous variants in the POMGNT1 gene expand the genotypic spectrum of Muscle‐Eye‐Brain disease, highlighting severe epilepsy with status epilepticus. Despite long disease duration, seizure freedom was achieved with intensive antiseizure polytherapy, underscoring the importance of continued therapeutic optimization in dystroglycanopathies.
