PIK‐III‐Mediated Elevation of Thiamine Re‐Sensitises Renal Cell Carcinoma to Cuproptosis via Activating PDHA1

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
PIK‐III enhancing the efficacy of cuproptosis to kill renal cancer cells through dysregulating thiamine metabolism and dephosphorylation of pyruvate dehydrogenase complex E1 (PDHA1), providing a potential option for treatment of cuproptosis‐resistant renal cancer by the combination of PIK‐III and elesclomol.

Liquid–Liquid Phase Separation in Major Hallmarks of Cancer

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
Aberrant condensates formed through phase separation are involved in the dysregulation of various critical cellular processes, including genome stability, transcriptional regulation and signal transduction, thereby promoting malignant transformation and the acquisition of multiple cancer hallmarks.

Two Metschnikowia nectar yeast species have similar volatile profiles but elicit differential foraging in bee pollinators

open access: yesEcological Entomology, EarlyView.
Yeasts that specialize in flower nectar play an important role in pollination ecology. Metschnikowia reukaufii and Metschnikowia koreensis were the most prevalent nectar yeasts found in our field sites. Bee pollinators exhibited different behavioural responses to nectar yeasts in field experiments. Bees visited more flowers with M.
