Testing a Personalized Approach to Chronic Low Back Pain: A Randomized Controlled Trial in Older Veterans

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective We aimed to test the efficacy of personalized treatment of older veterans with chronic low back pain (CLBP) delivered by Aging Back Clinics (ABCs) as compared with usual care (UC). Methods Two hundred ninety‐nine veterans aged 65 to 89 with CLBP from three Veterans Affairs (VA) medical centers underwent baseline testing, randomization to ABC ...

The Influence of the Mass Ratio and the Jacobi Constant on the Probability of Escape in the 3D (4+2)-Body Ring Problem

open access: yesMathematics
The dynamics of escape in the (N+2)-body ring problem exhibits a limited supply of research that involves the investigation in the three-dimensional scenario.

Inertial manifolds and limit cycles of dynamical systems in ${\mathbb R}^{n}$

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2019
We show that the presence of a two-dimensional inertial manifold for an ordinary differential equation in ${\mathbb R}^{n}$ permits reducing the problem of determining asymptotically orbitally stable limit cycles to the Poincaré–Bendixson theory.

Periodic solutions for N-body type problems [PDF]

open access: yesAnnales de l'Institut Henri Poincaré C, Analyse non linéaire, 1990
In this paper we prove the existence of a T -periodic solution (for any given T ) for a class of Hamiltonian systems which includes the N -body one.

A Qualitative Analysis of Patient Perspectives and Preferences in Lupus Management to Guide Lupus Guidelines Development

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective A patient‐centered approach for chronic disease management, including systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), aligns treatment with patients’ values and preferences, leading to improved outcomes. This paper summarizes how patient experiences, perspectives, and priorities informed the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) 2024 Lupus Nephritis (LN)

Multiloop Parallelisation Using Unrolling and Fission

open access: yesInternational Journal of Reconfigurable Computing, 2010
A technique for parallelising multiple loops in a heterogeneous computing system is presented. Loops are first unrolled and then broken up into multiple tasks which are mapped to reconfigurable hardware.

Clinical Practice Guideline for Evaluation and Management of Peripheral Nervous System Manifestations in Sjögren's Disease

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objectives Sjögren's disease is an autoimmune disorder that can impact multiple organ systems, including the peripheral nervous system (PNS). PNS manifestations, which can exist concurrently, include mononeuropathies, polyneuropathies, and autonomic nervous system neuropathies. To help patients and providers in the decision‐making process, we developed

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Youth with Childhood‐Onset Lupus: A Randomized Clinical Trial

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective Our objective was to determine the feasibility and acceptability of the Treatment and Education Approach for Childhood‐onset Lupus (TEACH), a six‐session cognitive behavioral intervention addressing depressive, fatigue, and pain symptoms, delivered remotely to individual youth with lupus by a trained interventionist.
