Theoretical line widths in N2O-N2O and N2O-air collisions

Journal of Quantitative Spectroscopy and Radiative Transfer, 1971
Abstract Rotational half-widths have been computed at 220°K, 250°K, 280°K, and 300°K for air-broadened absorption lines of N2O using the Anderson-Tsao-Curnutte theory. The new results are compared with previously available estimates at 300°K. Self-broadened line widths have also been computed at 300°K; good agreement has been obtained with Goody's ...

New combination bands of N2O-CO2, N2O-OCS, and N2O-N2 complexes in the N2O ν1 region

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2014
Spectra of the weakly bound complexes N2O-CO2, N2O-OCS, and N2O-N2 were studied in the region of the ν1 fundamental of N2O (∼2224 cm−1) using a tunable quantum cascade laser to probe a pulsed supersonic jet expansion with an effective rotational temperature of about 2.5 K.

PVTx measurements for N2O+CH3F, N2O+CH2F2, and N2O+CHF3 binary systems

Fluid Phase Equilibria, 2005
Abstract Isochoric PVTx measurements have been performed for the binary system of nitrous oxide + CH 3 F (R41), +CH 2 F 2 (R32), and +CHF 3 (R23) using a new experimental set-up. The experiments covered both the two-phase region and the superheated vapor region and were performed within the temperature range 214–358 K and within a pressure range ...

Differential response of N2O emissions, N2O-producing and N2O-reducing bacteria to varying tetracycline doses in fertilized soil

Environmental Research, 2022
Tetracyclines are the most widely used antibiotics worldwide. Their presence in soils could affect nutrient cycling, but our knowledge regarding how they affect soil microbial communities involved in greenhouse gas emissions is limited. The objective of the current study was to evaluate how tetracycline is affecting N2O emissions and the abundance of ...

N2O Volumes Absorbed and Excreted During N2O Anesthesia in Children

Anesthesia & Analgesia, 1976
Exhaled volumes were measured in 8 children during uptake and elimination of 3 percent and 75 percent N2O, using a volume-controlled ventilator. Absorption of 75 percent N2O during induction reduced the exhaled minute volume, which fell a mean of 16 percent in the 1st or 2nd minute and returned to normal by 15 to 20 minutes.

Photofragmentation dynamics of the (N2O)2+ and (N2O)3+ clusters: fragment N2O+ A ← X spectra

Chemical Physics, 1998
Abstract Rovibrational distributions of N2O+ fragments resulting from the direct 640 nm photodissociation of mass-selected (N2O)2+ and (N2O)3+ clusters have been measured in a tandem mass spectrometer apparatus, via the A 2 Σ + ← X 2 Π predissociative transition of N2O+.

Electrical breakdown of N2O, SF6 and N2O/SF6 mixtures

Proceedings of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, 1974
Measurements of static breakdown voltages were made for SF6 and N2O/SF6 mixtures containing between 1% and 50% SF6 by volume for values of Nds within the range 1023 < Nds < 1024 m−2 (where N is the gas number density and ds the sparking distance). These results, together with earlier data on N2O, show that the departures from Paschen's law become ...

Infrared spectra of the Ne2–N2O, Ar2–N2O trimers

Journal of Molecular Spectroscopy, 2012
Abstract Spectra of the van der Waals trimers Ar2–N2O and Ne2–N2O are studied in the region of the N2O ν1 fundamental (≈2220 cm−1) using a tunable quantum cascade laser to probe a pulsed supersonic expansion from a slit jet nozzle. Improved data are obtained for the dimers Ar–N2O and Ne–N2O, and the Q-branch of Ar3–N2O is tentatively assigned.

N2O (protoxyde d’azote)

Environnement, 2007

Reinvestigation of the experimental N2O+N2O cluster binding energy

Chemical Physics Letters, 1991
Abstract The gas-phase ion-molecule equilibrium reaction N2O++N2O + M⇄N2O+N2O + M was studied as a function of temperature. The enthalpy and entropy of reaction, detemined from the van't Hoff plot, are: ΔH0=−18.5±0.8 kcal/mol and ΔS0=−25±1.6 cal/mol K.
