Internal erosion and permeability of Na CMC-treated and PAM-treated geosynthetic clay liners

Geotextiles and Geomembranes, 2023
This paper investigates the occurrence of internal erosion and the variation of the permeability of geosynthetic clay liner (GCL) with respect to its geotextile component, polymer type and polymer amount added to its bentonite component, hydraulic head, and subgrade material by performing extensive triaxial permeability tests on the GCL specimens.

Preparation and Controlled Release of Na-CMC Polyurethane Microspheres

Integrated Ferroelectrics, 2015
Na-CMC polyurethane microspheres were prepared with isophorone diisocyanate and polyethylene glycol and sodium carboxymethyl cellulose as main materials. Ibuprofen used as a model drug and core material was coated into microspheres. The microspheres morphologies and the composite physical states were investigated using optical microscopy, scanning ...

Kinetics and mechanism of the hydrolysis of sodium carboxymethylcellulose (Na-CMC) by a cellulase complex

Monatshefte fr Chemie Chemical Monthly, 1985
TheSomogyi-Nelson colorimetric method is applied in a new manner more suitable for evaluating the kinetics of the enzyme hydrolysis of sodium carboxymethylcellulose (Na-CMC) catalyzed by the cellulase complex. By means of selective inhibition of a chosen enzyme from the cellulase complex it became possible to trace the effect of the other enzymes ...

Selective flotation of rutile from almandine using sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (Na-CMC) as a depressant

Minerals Engineering, 2020
Abstract In this paper, Na-CMC was studied as a depressant for almandine during flotation separation of rutile using cationic surfactant, octadecyl amine polyoxyethylene ether (AC1815) as a collector. Results of micro-flotation studies suggested that Na-CMC was considered as a selective depressant for almandine. Zeta potential and X-ray Photoelectron

Characterization, optical, and nanoscale free volume properties of Na‐CMC/PAM/CNT nanocomposites

Polymers for Advanced Technologies, 2019
Polyblend and nanocomposite films of sodium salt of carboxymethylcellulose (Na‐CMC)/polyacrylamide (PAM) and Na‐CMC/PAM modified with carbon nanotubes (CNT) were synthesized by the solution casting technique. The effect of PAM and CNT loading on the structural, optical, and nanoscale free volume properties of Na‐CMC was studied. X‐ray diffraction (XRD)

Vliv elektrolytů na CMC

2006
