Abstract A wild type Magnaporthe oryzae CY2 with normal growth and sporulation but weak pathogenicity is not virulent to more than over 1000 rice cultivars. Based on the transformant library of M. oryzae CY2 by Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated transformation (ATMT), we screened a transformant T23 with normal infectious hyphae and pathogenicity to ...

A quantitative histochemical study of NADPH-ferrihemoprotein reductase activity
A quantitative histochemical assay for NADPH-ferrihemoprotein (P450) reductase had been developed. For optimal activity, it is necessary to use a relatively electropositive tetrazolium salt such as neotetrazolium chloride as the final acceptor. The apparent Km of the reaction is 0.83 mM.

Corbula caribea is the most common non-polychaete macrofaunal organism identified at a large natural oil seep at La Brea in south Trinidad. It is hypothesized that these animals may possess (NADPH-ferrihemoprotein reductase) a component of the Mixed Function Oxygenase system (MFO), which may allow them to ameliorate the potentially deleterious effects ...
