Development and testing of shingle-type solar cell molecules [PDF]

open access: yes
The details of a shingle module design which produces in excess of 97 watts/sq m of module area at 1 kW/sq m insolation and at 60 C are reported. This selected design employs a tempered glass coverplate to provide the primary solar cell structural ...

Deciphering the Role of Cancer Stem Cells in Breast Cancer Brain Colonization Using a Novel Patient‐Derived Model

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study shows that stem‐like cells isolated from breast cancer brain metastases drive the spread and growth of tumors in the brain. Among them, a highly adhesive subgroup initiates metastasis and resists many drugs. By closely reflecting patient tumors, these models help identify new targets and improve the development of effective treatments ...

Model‐Driven Optimization of Subcutaneous Polymer Prodrugs Achieves Cancer Remission in Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) model was developed to evaluate multiple dosing regimens for subcutaneously administered water‐soluble polymer prodrug for cancer therapy. The model enabled prediction of in vivo performance and contributed to the optimization of anticancer efficacy.

Physiotherapy for Fracture of the Tibia Fastened with Nail: a Case Report

open access: yesFysioterapeuten, 2009
Background and aim: Most tibia fractures are fasten with intramedullary bone nail, but studies show over half of the patients to have anterior knee pain over 2 years after surgery. Because non has examined the effect of physical therapy after the procedure, we explored different treatments in private practice for two patients.

Innovative shot nails fastening for bonded steel plates strengthening concrete structures: A comparative research with conventional chemical anchor

open access: yesCase Studies in Construction Materials
As an alternative to chemical bolt fasteners for bonded steel plate strengthening, shooting nails have the advantages of higher efficiency and lower damage to existing concrete structures. In this paper, through interfacial single-shear tests, a comparative investigation on the shear capacity of different steel-concrete interfaces, including shooting ...

Plant‐Produced Viral Nanoparticles Decorated with Nanobodies Against HER2 Improve Retention and Recruitment of Immune Cells in Solid Tumors

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Potato virus X is a filamentous RNA plant virus that can be engineered into a molecular tool for cancer therapy. We produced genetically‐encoded virus‐derived nanoparticles decorated with nanobodies targeting cancer cell receptors, epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and human epidermal growth factor 2 (HER2).
