The Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, 1957One hundred ninety-six hospitalized patients were given 10 mgrn. of nalorphine intramuscularly under a variety of hospital situations. On a separate day, 46 of these and 30 additional patients received 15 mgm. of morphine intramuscularly.

The present investigation compared the stimulus properties of these three drugs in rats. Each drug was used as a discriminative stimulus for a separate group of rats.

Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology, 1962Abstract It has been shown that nalorphine changes the LD 50 of the intraperitoneally administered dextropropoxyphene from 68 mg/kg to 105 mg/kg. Furthermore, nalorphine antagonizes the convulsant effect of dextropropoxyphene. Also, the dextropropoxyphene-induced convulsions were of cerebral origin as evidenced by the abolition of these convulsions ...
