Multiple morphologies of gold nano-plates by high-temperature polyol syntheses

Colloids and Surfaces A: Physicochemical and Engineering Aspects, 2009
Abstract High-temperature polyol methods were used to fabricate micro- or nano-sized gold plates. 1,2-propanediol served as both medium and reducing agent. Triangular plates and polygonal plate shapes derived from triangular prisms as well as pentagonal structured gold particles have been synthesized.

Electrochemical Performance of Calcium Cobaltite Nano-Plates

Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, 2009
The use of nanostructured materials in Li-ion batteries is desirable from the point of view of achieving enhanced performance, due to the shorter Li-ion diffusion distance and the small dimensional changes upon cycling. Herein, the nanocrystalline calcium cobaltite (Ca3Co4O9) powders were prepared by the Pechini process. The obtained nano-plate powders

The Surface Improvement by Supercritical Nano Plating

Transactions of the Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers A, 2009
In this study, supercritical nano plating was performed to observe its effect on materials. Using supercritical carbon dioxide as a solvent, we observed how different pressures and temperatures of the supercritical fluid affected the process and its outcome.

Analytical solution of FG Nano-Plate vibration analysis with porosity

Materials Today: Proceedings, 2022
Abstract In this study we provide a vibrations analysis analytical solution of a functionally classified nano-plate including porosity, recognised to be porosities within materials with functionally graded grades (FG). In this study, the effects of material characteristics changes, including a ratio of thickness to length, aspect ratio, power law ...

A concise review of nano-plates

2019
Recent works done by nano-engineers and nano-sciences about mechanical behavior of nano-plates including bending, buckling and vibration response were reviewed. The authors used non-classical elasticity theories to explain these behaviors of plate structures.

Wear Behavior of Graphite Nano Plates/Al Composites

Physics of Metals and Metallography, 2019
An a luminum matrix composite reinforced with 1–5 wt % graphite nano platelets ( CNPLs ) has been fabricated by cold pressing followed by hot extrusion techniques. The wear test conditions used were implemented at different wear loads, (10 N, 20 N, 30 N, 40 N, and 50N) with three different sliding speed of 0.2, 0.4, and 0.8 m/sec.

Device Optimization of Nano-Plate Transistors for 3.5 nm Technology Node

Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, 2019
In this paper, lateral gate-all-around nano-plate transistors (NP-FETs) for 3.5 nm technology node were optimized and compared with other nodes such as 7 nm and 5 nm node devices. The transistors' electrostatic was analyzed using a 3D TCAD simulation. We firstly optimized physical parameters such as channel radius and thickness.

Analysis of the buckling of magneto-piezoelectric nano-plates by the theory of nonlocal elasticity

International Conference on Contemporary Academic Research, 2023
Smart materials capable of modifying their physical properties in response to stresses (variationin temperature, electric or magnetic field, mechanical stress, etc.), the material reacts to a stimulus detectedoutside and adapts its response. Actuators in particular provide a mechanical action or change theirappearance (deformation, color change, etc ...

245 MHz graphene-aluminum nitride nano plate resonator

2013 Transducers & Eurosensors XXVII: The 17th International Conference on Solid-State Sensors, Actuators and Microsystems (TRANSDUCERS & EUROSENSORS XXVII), 2013
This paper reports on the first demonstration of a high frequency (245 MHz) Graphene-Aluminum Nitride (G-AlN) nano plate resonator (NPR). For the first time, a two-dimensional (2D) electrically conductive graphene layer was integrated on top of an ultra-thin (500 nm) AlN nano plate and excited into a high frequency contour-extensional mode of vibration
