Preparation of aluminum sulfate nanoparticles prepared by the green method and study of their effect on a poly(vinyl chloride) surface [PDF]

open access: yesمجلة جامعة الانبار للعلوم الصرفة
In this study, aluminum sulfate nanoparticles (ASNPs) were prepared using Ziziphus spina leaf extract. Poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) films with a thickness of 50 ± 5 µm were then prepared by the casting method after adding the nanomaterial at ...

Controlled generation in example-based machine translation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
The theme of controlled translation is currently in vogue in the area of MT. Recent research (Sch¨aler et al., 2003; Carl, 2003) hypothesises that EBMT systems are perhaps best suited to this challenging task.

Multi‐omics and low‐input proteomics profiling reveals dynamic regulation driving pluripotency initiation in early mouse embryos

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Mouse pre‐implantation development involves a transition from totipotency to pluripotency. Integrating transcriptomics, epigenetic profiling, low‐input proteomics and functional assays, we show that eight‐cell embryos retain residual totipotency features, whereas cytoskeletal remodeling regulated by the ubiquitin‐proteasome system drives progression ...

Direct measurement of single soft lipid nano-tubes: nano-scale information extracted in non-invasive manner

open access: yes, 2012
We investigated the dynamics of single soft nano-tubes of phospholipids to extract nano-scale information such as size of tube, which are several tens to hundreds of nano-meters thick.

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

Preparation and luminescent properties of SiC nanoparticles by strong pulse discharge in organic liquid phase environment

open access: yesMaterials Research Express
SiC nanoparticles with relatively uniform particle distribution were successfully prepared using a continuous strong pulse discharge method using hexamethyldisilane as the organic liquid phase environment. The samples were subjected to x-ray diffraction (

Comparison of photocatalytic systems including silver and titanium dioxide nanoparticles efficiencies for the E. coli removal from drinking water [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The removal and destruction of organic contaminants in groundwater can be addressed through the impregnation of adsorbents with photoactive catalysts. In this paper removal trend of E.

Diversification and hybridization in firm knowledge bases in nanotechnologies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The paper investigates the linkages between the characteristics of technologies and the structure of a firms' knowledge base. Nanotechnologies have been defined as converging technologies that operate at the nanoscale, and which require integration to ...
